Slayer is bad ass but does anyone know why they left metalblade records for american? I mean metal blade has alot of the greatest metal bands like six feet under and Cannibal Corpse but I just could never understand that. I also remember watching an interview on tv on the band and their frontman "vocalist" said they actually were told by American records that they shouldnt do guitar solo's anymore because they arent "hip" anymore. So they might be leaving American now too.

i love slayer. infact, im listening to behind the crooked cross right now. i have south of heaven. it used to be my brothers, and when i was little, i was freaked out at the cover art, and now i love the cd. how ironic.

Quite possibly the greatest death metal album ever recorded. With South of Heaven a close second.

I've been hardcore since the second grade,... seen almost 100 concerts,... SLAYER, far and away, is the hardest.

In my more youthful days I would venture to the mosh pit at every show I wnet to,... Slayers pit is by far, not even in comparison to Pantera, full of the toughest, meanest SOB's music has to offer.

The saddest time in my live was when I missed their concert "Jagermeister Music Tour" on Nov. 25 2003. They sold out when me and my brother were going to be next

Slayer is a decent Metal Band not my favourite but they can thread with the best of them on some songs.

Are probably my only faves' by them. Granted I stil haven't heard much of their music but they aren't a particular fave of mine. So many better metal band's then these guys, IMHO.
