Welcome aboard GTP, Trueno86power!

The Ae86 chassis is very good for a slightly-sporty economy car. It does tend to oversteer, though, which is why it is so popular with the drifters. If you want to race with it, here are some tips to fight oversteer:

1) Change to racing tires. T2 or T4 are my preference.

2) Soften the rear suspension - reduce the rear spring rate a little, or raise the front spring rate. Also, reduce the bound and rebound rates a little at the rear so that the weight transfers to the rear wheels and helps them grip better. Also, reduce the stabilizer setting at the rear.

3) Raise the ride height at the rear a little. This helps keep more weight on the rear tires as well.

This is why I don't really like Skylines, particularly if they have a lot of boosted horsepower. Here the problem is understeer, and the solution is just the opposite of the Trueno:

1) Soften the front suspension to increase grip at the front. Reduce the rebound setting at the front, and increase it at the rear. This will help get the weight back onto the front wheels during acceleration. Reduce the stabilizer 1 click at the front.

2) Increase front camber to about 3.0, and reduce rear camber to about 0.5. This also increases front grip.

3) Reduce your LSD settings, particularly at the front.

4) Set about -0.5 degrees toe in in front, and about +0.5 degrees toe out in back. This helps the outside wheels (which are most heavily loaded during a turn) steer in the direction of the turn.

Hope this helps, and welcome.

Only new thing I'd add to Neon_Dukes suggestions on the Skyline is that you turn the ASM down to 0, and this will significantly affect how well your car turns. You may already know this, but figured I'd pass it on.

As a further note, set TCS usually to 1 or 2 and it will improve your acceleration.

And Welcome aboard GTPlanet, Enjoy your stay
