I guess I'm one of the smaller minority that simply raises the curve :)
I'll be 61 in a couple months.

I was an avid fan of motorsports when I saw the very first ads on TV for the PS1 bundled with Ridge Racer (1995 I believe). Bought one on impulse, never having played a video game in my life before because I thought that the cars looked almost real (all laugh now) :sly: I wound up buying every racing game that came out and became an avid GT addict. I literally bought every racing game that came out for the next 14 years and my wife coined the term "Vidiot" to describe me to her friends :)

When the PS2 was delayed, I bought a Dreamcast and every racing game made for it. I still have it and 12 racing games. I bought one of the first VRC's (Virtual Racing Chassis) from Bob Earl Racing in 2002 and a Playseat 2 years ago. I've owned (and worn out) every wheel Logitech has been able to produce. I still have 48 racing games for the PS1 and kept a dozen PS2 games after selling off 44 of them to one guy alone. I bought a PSP on launch day and almost every racing game for that as well. Did I mention I like racing :)

I guess you could say that I am just a typical gamer :dopey:

BTW ... I've already set aside the funds for NFS Shift, DIRT2 and GT5 (and I don't have a mortgage :))
You should really get involved in pc sim racing like iRacing and Live For Speed.

ANFD: can you give me some money please? :D
You are like some form of gaming god

Just like ANFD, i have been playing games for awhile! And i have already turned 61 years of age!! I pretty much like all kinds of games, and will try anything once. I don't think, the kid in me is ever going away! Aleast i hope not, because it's to much fun!!:sly:👍

P.S. Just got in to rc electric airplanes, they are fun also! Good thing i started with a cheap one! Because i need to get a new one. Crashed it to many times!:ouch:

May I also add that both ANFD and FLASH48 are both very tough to beat, very good clean racers. At 46 I'm still a youngster to these guys :) ,but I have no intention on giving up gaming anytime soon. After all our generation started gaming.

Hey guys, blush, blush :)

FLASH48 and VDUB have been friends of mine for some time, especially VDUB and we've raced together a lot. I worked hard for my toys and had a great 25 year career with a great company.

If anyone is interested in my ride of choice you can check out my albums on my home page and see lots of unusual and cool stuff, if I do say so myself :sly:

I do find that video games are a great stress reliever and endless hours of entertainment. I'm also into boating (and travel) and shooting a lot of HI-Def video and editing movies.

I have met a lot of cool friends through the GTP community and one such friend, Mybrindle, drove down from CT on his way to Florida and stopped by here for a couple nights last weekend. It was a great joy to finally connect a face to the voice at the other end of endless messaging. He drives with a six-axis controller better than most guys I know with wheels and he gave me a demonstration of how he learned to do it ..... he's very proficient with RC cars, planes and helicopters. You can check out his rad skills with the link provided ....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfqOkNc7Q50

Reading your post, this is what I thought you meant. Time for bed I think.

I'm only 22 and I thought I was an older gamer! You guys give me hope for the future, though, I thought as soon as I get a job (just finished uni so not got one just yet) the PS3 would go away for a long, long time.

i'm 27 (Currently single) and have been playing games since Nintendo came out. I really didn't get that too into games until sega Genesis and Super-Nintendo. Thats when i would pay attention to story and play games till completion. I have an xbox360 and ps3. I hope to be able to play games till i am nothing more than "Dust in the Wind". My #1 love is Cars/Racing/Modifying/Drifting (modify and drift my real car and want to get into road racing). I love racing games, especially simulators as it gives me a chance to drive cars i'll never see or tracks i may never get to visit. It's also fun to shoot some stuff up or follow a deep compelling story. Television has become very boring to me, especially the mainstream MTV crap and all this ridiculous Reality-T.V. can't stand it. People feeding off other peoples Drama (don't mind that little rant). Games are a great form of interactive entertainment. I just hope the producers/studios keep coming out with good stuff! :)👍

No way my PS3 is leaving me even if I work or not ;)
