Engine: 16v Twin Cam, a cylinder head with small ports, pistons with 10.3:1 compression rate , TRD camshafts, a lightened flywheel, cleaned ports, 1.5mm bigger intake valves, adjustable cam pulleys, 315cc/min nozzles, 2" exhaust, 40mm twin carbs turned into ITB's, lowered cylinderhead,(compressions about ~11:1), adjustable fuel pressure, customized injection controller, re-circulating oil collector system, collector tank in the trunk. conrods & pistons' weights balanced, crankshaft,flywheel & clutch balanced. enough power.

Clutch: hydraulic, uprated multiplate clutch

Transmission: 5-speed, short shift kit.

Chassis:lightened, stiffened, straight floor,new longitudinal bars. Race qualified rollcage,enlarged wheel arches in the front and in the rear. 5cm widening wheel arch bulges made of glass fibre. A glass fibre rear spoiler.

Suspension:Spax's coil-overs front and rear. New boxes for dampers in the rear and the damper attaching points moved on top of the rear axle. In the front (camber-) adjustable uniball- up ends. Bushes are made of polyacetal (POM).

Brakes: In front Brembo's 4-pot saddles & mitsubishi's brakediscs, at rear GT-Corolla's discbrakes. race spec brake hoses. A larger main brake cylinder.
Rear: 4.3:1, LSD
Tyres: Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position, 195/50R15, fondmetal alloy rims.

Other stuff: Momo bucket seats, 6-point seatbelts, Selfmade® 20-led A/F ratio-meter, battery relocated behind passenger seat, Autogauge meters have replaced original ones. earplugs as standard equipment.

Coming:magnesium rims? new tyres, more power, less weight, adjusting suspension to perfection, uniball links to rear, new camshafts.

I'm not sure if this is the guy but he had a 3S-GTE in that little thing; doing the 1/4 MILE under 12 sec.

if he wasn't from Finland, it wasn't this guy.. and this car was sold for big money. he built other one, with single cam and twin carbs, and it's for sale as well, approximately 3500€..
 
One bloke in NZ did the same conversion, 3SGTE into a KP starlet, he also minitubbed it and was running mid 12s with it. I'm not sure what's happened to it now but I saw it on Trademe (NZ's Ebay) for sale a couple of months ago.

There's also a racing Starlet with a SR20DET over here and more than a few 12A rotary Starlets tearing up the quarter miles here too. It's funny to see this little car pull up to the staging area, pulsing away and pull a massive skid :D
