too strong?

i was just doing a race (boost was OFF + Identical cars) and i was 1.5 seconds ahead on indy and we just came on to the straight and next thing i know hes right behind me at the start / finish line.

Is it too strong? i feel it needs to be half as strong at least.. cars just seem to catch up way too quick imo.

what does everyone else think?

Only problems I find is that the AI seems to be able to pick up a slipstream even if they aren't directly behind you and they can pick up a slipstream from further back than we seem to be able too.

But I think the effect itself is fine.

The 1.5 seconds you mention is exactly how far behind you slipstreaming starts. As soon as someone is 1.5 seconds or less behind you, they will get it. I agree that it needs to be weakened a lot.

I agree as well, one car shouldnt be able to catch up to you that quickly. Now if he had someone behind him, then he would be getting enough help to push past you. Another thing I feel is that the car in the front of the draft doesnt get as much help from drafting. If i tuck right up under the car in front of me, the reduced downforce on his rear should make him faster due to less drag, and it should also make his back end less stable due to lack of downforce. But from what I have seen, the only way the front car benefits is from bump drafting.

What cars were you in? If you needed to brake for the corner, then he could've had a higher corner exit speed than you.
