im new so i might as well ask a newbie question

How slow can you go before officialy killing a drift?
(ex. entering the corner at 100mph and then eventually slowing down to about 20-30 mph)

I have done this a few times while getting some of the best angle i have ever gotten in my life, but im not shure if i should be overrun with joy or completely ashamed.

Speed doesn't determine the level of "greatness" in a drift. The angle is what counts, unless of course ur race drifting. So really its just a matter of your own personal preference.

minimum speed always depends on tire selection.

the absolute lowest for sims would probably be 30

on a tight corner?

i was talking about turns like apricot hill.....but 15 is cool anyways.

man, im so bored.

We are talking about when a drift dies WhIteDrAgOn.... (awesome or great ? Doesn't leave you with much choice...) IMO , I drift dies when you regain traction, end of story. You can be going 5Km/h or MPH , but as long as your tyres are still spinning faster than a car and your at an angle, It's a drift. A slow drift perhaps, but nevertheless it's still a drift.

And that Whitedragon is your most definitive answer. 👍

thx Swift, but Mdnite putted it in a better explanation

My bad, for some reason I thought you started this thread. Don't mind me man. I'm just slow! :dopey:

Speed ALONE doesn't determine the level of "greatness" in a drift.....
but its one of the important factors in determine a good drift... 👍
line, angle, smoke, smoothness.... and also Speed....
hope thats what you meant there... :)
Speed does matter IMO... :)

The One thing about Grand Turismo3 is the smoke...Its pretty unrealistic..If you've ever seen or been to a drift competition theres a lotta smoke and it rises, unlike on GT3 *I hope thats an improvement that will be on GT3.

The ps2 cannot handle the volume of smoke that needs to be generated. It can to a certain degree, but the lag in FPS would be phenomenal.
