Slowly deteriorating HP?!?!

I have a subura impreza that used to have 543hp, but now after 610 miles on it it only has 532hp! I tried changing the oil three times in a row but still only got 532 out of a car that used to be 543!
 
Yes, engines get old and lose horsepower the more miles you put on them. There is no way of getting the lost HP back either.
 
OMG... Is there some unwritten rule that the n00bs must post stupid ass pictures in every post they make? As if we don't get enough of this crap in the Drifters Forum.

I thought cars lose hp because of continual usage with dirty oil, getting the engine damaged. Like my F687/S which I used for the Formula GT Champ. I started out with 932 hp and by the time I finished the championship (six hours later) and changed the oil and I had 914 hp.
Cars lose hp even if they're kept running with clean oil? :confused:
 
No you're right, I think the only way to lose hp is to not change the car's oil. I change my car's oil (which ever I may be using) after every series race I do just to be on the safe side.;)

Yep. It's the mileage you put on the car. No matter if you run dirty oil all the time or clean.
 
That kind of sucks, but thanks for letting me know 'boom'.

My poor F687/S :( Had to run with dirty oil since midway Grand Valley that day. And I didn't do the Test Course, this may sound weird but I crashed out on that track. :p

My F/090 has about 800+ miles put into it but it's hp hasn't changed one bit. It still has the 690 stock hp, plus whatever it was I got from an oil change. Not saying you're wrong, I was just stating what my experience with changing hp at high miles was like.

Maybe F1 cars are an exception, but I know that cars lose HP no matter how often you change the oil.

uhh after i did the oil change trick with my F090/s, i had around 725 hp......lol
 
Who are you calling a newb. None of my cars have lost any hp. I was just merely stating that. Plust newbs post pictures after everything they post, especially stupid $**t. Don't call me a noob dude, you're one if any.:irked:

After recently running the Test Course Formula GT race with my F094/H I have noticed that in fact the mere heavy running of the car will result in loss of horsepower. I had 822 hp before the race (I gave the car the works too: wash, oil change) after finishing the race I didn't have the oil light on, when I went to change said oil it was fairly black, after changing it however the car now had 814 hp.
It might be a matter of continuous use. In total I think I ran like 155+ miles, I have this theory that if would've run those 155+ miles with the same car on different tracks, therefore giving the car a break here and there, maybe I wouldn't have lost any hp.
Question is: could GT3 hold that kind of realism that nonstop use of cars could inflict damage to their engines?
