Smoke on the water

One of the things in GT5 that I was less than impressed with was the look of smoke whenever your tires lose traction.
I just finished my first race in the rain and I was surprised and pleased that the rain spray off the back of the car looked pretty good. It certainly looks a lot better than the tire smoke to me.
I find this odd, since both effects are similar in their composition and display.
Maybe for the next update they should just copy and paste the water spray over the tire smoke code!
 
Couldn't help reading the thread title and going "dun dun dunnn, dun dun dun-DUNN...." in my head :D

I think the smoke's great in GT5 (if you ignore the blocky alpha artefacts around the cars). Maybe that's because I've been playing a lot of FM3, but hey :D
