Welcome to the February 2018 season in Division 2. We need to fill all of the below positions prior to race time tomorrow. Please post in this thread if you are interested.


Division Manager - @nmcp1
Assists with all facets of the division, including organizing the race night duties.

Backup Host -
Opens and manages the lobby, including qualifying and race start times.

Scorekeeper -

Live scoring, updating the score sheet after each race.

Getting this up early so we can fill in the necessary responsibilities. First and foremost is Host. I can host but someone will need to take scores. Also need a good texter as that role sees a lot action during the night.

Thanks for stepping up @BruiserTV. SNAIL Lobby Settings can be found here. To keep the night moving as smoothly as possible, please save all 3 combo room setting for each of the first races before starting the night. This way they can be loaded quickly when moving from one combo to another. For the reverse grid races you'l just be changing the title of the room and flipping the field so no need to save those. Also you and I (and whoever steps up as texter) will need to be in a Party Chat to communicate throughout the evening. I'll open one shortly after 9pm EST. If you're not on my friends list please send me a request.
 
@nmcp1 I'm not able to find my PS4 headset, and any other headset I may have had, I may have tossed when I got my iPhone. :/

I’d had this privilege removed last season. Was happy to attend too. KG took over. Do you want me to upload Sunday’s?
 
In Hosting, please do not have GTS put a ghosted car back on the track after it goes off the track.

That happened on Sunday night in tight traffic at the Monza T1-T2 chicane.

Also, everyone remember that if all 4 tires go off track - you may not immediately re-enter IF you will cause a following car to change its racing line due to your actions.

OLR 15 Re-Entry
"It is the responsibility of the car returning to the track to ensure there are no collisions so that no other drivers have to maneuver or brake suddenly to allow you to resume racing. If there's a chance of a collision, wait and be patient as other drivers have the right of way."

Tex is correct on the room settings. It is important to get all the settings correct so that all divisions are playing by the same set of rules. This one is especially important as we have rules in place for how and when you are allowed to reenter the track after going off. Additionally, we don't ever want to see ghosted cars on the track for any reason. This is also something, that if it continues to be an issue, could end up making the entire division ineligible for weekly prizes.

If you are going to be hosting, make sure you are very familiar with the room settings. It is probably best to set the room up ahead of time and save those settings. That would allow you, as a host, to carefully check all settings against the template without having to worry about getting a race started.

That’s my fault for failing to have correct settings. It was my first time, and I thought I had all settings correct. Tonight I’ll go through my settings and make sure I had them correct. And if anything needs changed, I’ll change them.

Race settings seem to be all correct... I'm not sure why people were ghosting back onto track.
 
It happened in a practice Room last night - and that feature was turned off.
Not sure why PD thinks that is helpful.
 
Pretty sure I saw something a few days ago regarding Monza and some glitches.

Let's get a quick head count for tonight.

I’ll be racing tonight. I’ve had no practice, RIP to me. LOL

Will also be streaming D2 races as well. I just got some new equipment so I’m excited to finally use it :D
 
I think Monza does it if you cut the chicane. If someone is cutting the chicane and not giving back any spots or time gained, file an IR on them.
 
Happened to me when I blew my breaking point. Decided to continue on so as not to ruin others and it placed me at the exit of the chicane. Pulled off into to the grass while ghosted.

The setting for ghosting cars is and has been broken in the game since day one. It's actually not the ghost setting, it's the "replace car on track" setting and even if you set it to off, the game will put you in the middle and you will be a ghost car until you're up to speed
