I’d love to be a back up replay uploader, or a host, I have 1gb hardwired internet so it’s pretty stable

I can do scores for the 1st 3 nights, then I'm gone for a couple of weeks. @Slow_Dad did you get access to the scoresheets? The process on Sundays is straightforward. Enter: finish position, total time and FL (in the lap time column, not the box at the top). I save replays and take a photo of the results page (a screen shot also works) as back ups and to check my work before posting in the main thread.

 we have the same schedule .............. Im traveling from May 23 returning June 13.
I can be the back up of the back just in case and volunteer again in July.
I will still get a sheet for this sunday so I can compare with yours and learn to do it right

You got it, you can host this Sunday. Let me know if you need help with setting up the rooms so they're ready before Sunday night.

Do you have a computer or laptop? We use excel spreadsheets to keep score and enter data. Nothing too difficult but there's some learning involved. Luckily there's a slide show prepared for that very reason. Check the OLR for the scorekeeper instructions section.

Pretty sure I won't be able to make it tomorrow night. Can someone (or actually more than one person) take screenshots of the results pages and send them to me via PSN or here so I can do data on Monday evening?

@Slow_Dad has access to the scoresheets now so @CANOWORMS1 will be able to show him the ropes. @Kryption-evo are you available tonight to go over the hosting lobbies? @Mac1032763, @JamCar0ne and @racingchamp30 are all pretty good at keeping the host in line so I know you'll have some good guidance tomorrow night. Thanks for volunteering to help guys!

We will need a 2nd backup Scorekeeper for the nights when both @CANOWORMS1 and @Slow_Dad are gone this month. Also still looking for a texters, a backup host, and a backup data specialist.

Good luck everybody!

Here's where to find the lobby settings for Sunday night. It's located in the OLR if you ever need to find it later.

Also be sure to follow the weekly post from @Dragonwhisky about car and track settings.

Post in thread '◆ SNAIL [Spec] Racing - Join now to win a free subscription to Coach Dave Delta!!' https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/◆-snail-spec-racing-join-now-to-win-a-free-subscription-to-coach-dave-delta.235094/post-14448183

Every Sunday, before the races, he will post the updated grid list. Use this for the grid settings of the first race.

It helps to save the lobbies and just make changes week to week for the cars and tracks. If you haven't already, friend request everyone to make it easier to find your rooms. Pay attention to how you name them. Use 'all welcome' for practices and 'members only' for race nights. This keeps a consistency going for the non SNAIL drivers out there.

There's a section in the OLR about hosting responsibilities as well.

Post in thread '◆ SNAIL OLR, Policies and Guidelines' https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/◆-snail-olr-policies-and-guidelines.332619/post-12630914

Remember to wait until the replay uploader and scorekeeper are done before making any changes after a race is finished. I'm sure you know the grid order procedure by now, and it lists how in the race lobby settings, but just in case.

R1R1 grid order from SNAIL post
R1R2 reverse grid based on previous results
R2R1 standard grid based on previous results
R2R2 reverse grid based on previous results
R3R1 standard grid based on previous results
R3R2 reverse grid based on previous results

Good luck tonight!

@radliffracing has shown me texting duties - more than happy to give folks a friendly way to the exit sign if I am needed

LET me know if I am needed

Ant
May as well be prepared to take a crack at it tonight. No one else has claimed the responsibility this season yet. Plus it's never a bad thing to get the training in for a duty while others with experience are present.

Watching Canadas best entertainment - pornhub lmao

I am watching tv with 2 rotties and this old lady that thinks she owns this Fing place 😂

Welp.................... Div 2 Racers beware
I just got my Moza R5 and set it up on a NLR 2.0 stand took ride for a spin and testing and WOW, if I was slow and bad before, Im slower and worst now LOL learning curve from controller to wheel is steep, Im so use to reaching turning limit fast with the gamepad and now it takes me forever, or getting use to....
Any tips besides practice for moving from controller to wheel?
This Sunday definitely will stay 10 min behind the back of the pack to avoid ruining anyone's race LOL
TIA

I'm driving so I don't have much time to talk about it right now but I will say.Just stick with it and you'll enjoy it much more.
Definitely sticking with it. is way better than with the controller more natural I could say, but have to give a heads up LOL, bad driver worst for now ........

It's a different style of driving. No more catching slides for a while, that takes time to master on the wheel. Focus on smooth, controlled turns. I basically never go much past quarter turn unless it's a hairpin so no need to hit max turning points. Pedal control is crucial. I just started using a wheel in November. Took me about 6 weeks to feel more confident. Still not as fast as I was on a controller in some situations. Also not as fast on a controller as I used to be on a controller anymore, if that makes sense. But I enjoy it much more now with the wheel.

If you’re used to racing in a decently powered and set up car , how steep is the learning curve then ? I have driven mid hp Imprezas and brz before on tracks , everyday is leg day in those things

Congrats on the wheel setup! It is definitely a learning curve and you can expect to be slower on the wheel at first. Think it took me about six weeks to convert. Suggest running time trial laps at your favorite track. Throw down a reference lap on controller and then have at it with the wheel. The leaderboard will keep track of your times so you can track your progress. Also, play around with the feedback settings to find what is right for you. There are no right or wrong settings, they are all personal preference.
