Please take a look at the duties and post reply if you would volunteer to cover one. I took liberty to remove some names and while leaving others intact (for various reasons). I have no doubt that we can cover all duties even if you don’t see this post on Sunday before race time.

Thanks for waiting for me yesterday. I feel like I let you all down after moving up from D3 with my connection dropping like it did. If it keeps happening, I might have to take a small leave to get it corrected.

Can we have the back-up scorekeeper ready for tonight. I might be getting on late. Family is still here and will leave after dinner if the road conditions are not too bad. Yes, snowing now for 3 days.

EDIT: Never mind - they left early. I can do scoring tonight

This might get me in trouble but...
I don't normally file IRs.. A: I simply do not have the time B: I'm not perfect I know that.. But, we are Division 2, we are supposed to set a good example (D1 justva bunch of aliens, they don't count)
Let's clean our isht up! Several oobs, a few knock offs, etc.. And that is just from my view.. Again I'm not calling anyone out.. lets just clean it up guys..
Thanks

My suggestion, if you feel you were wronged, take the ten minutes to pull an incident time and file, and let the stewards make the call.

I normally don't either last season was really bad with what u were talking about one night I got shoved off 5 out of the 6 races I am not perfect either but I feel like instead of filing an ir and putting someone on the "radar" you should be able to just talk it out as drivers people know they have done wrong and filing one shouldn't even be needed

I have seen it multiple times in Snail, fast but over aggressive drivers clean up as a result of ir's being filed against them, and sometimes an otherwise clean driver just needs to be cooled down. Either way, it has always resulted in a much cleaner racing environment. Let the system do its job. Also, there are other times that people feel they were wronged and file an ir, just to learn that it was their mistake that resulted in or even caused the incident they filed on. Again, use and let the system do its job.

I know I made quite a few mistakes last night. The swarm of cars midpack is tense and it only takes one guy making risky moves to get everyone seeing red and turning up the aggression. It happened to me a few times last night where i got divebombed or punted a couple times and said F this and started driving more 'colorfully'. You can then definitely see the driver you are racing responding in kind and the whole room starts to go down a dark path. If we all can refocus on driving with respect for each other then things will calm down and we can all have some good clean racing.

Also to note, D2 is a very close paced division at present. Lap times from top to bottom were not divided by that much which is going to cause more bumping and rubbing. I typically file on the most obvious and blatant faults if no concessions were made. A bump here, a squeeze there, I will usually leave alone unless it caused an off track or major push off line that caused loss of position/positions.

I wasn't really referring to last night.. Over the last few weeks I've noticed some things I feel we as a division need to clean up.. I was not typing about anyone in particular but us as a whole.. I know we don't wreck each other on purpose, isht happens, we don't go oob on purpose but that happens too..
Sorry to open a can of worms but I know we are better than we have been showing.. Myself included. No way am I not deserving of a couple IRs each night.. rubbing, squeezing, bumps as NOVA said is part of racing. We are a very talented division!
Have a great week guys.

I don’t think anyone is driving dirty on purpose, it’s the competitive nature that comes out in people and drives them to fill any gap. We just all need to be smarter about when to attack. Especially turn 1, I was under assault every race in turn 1 with people diving in on either side of me. It’s partly my fault because I am still working on the launch and I have been slow off the line but at some point people need to know 3 and 4 wide is I’ll advised into a tight chicane. It really doesn’t matter if you have a run or even if you get overlap. If you are the 4th car in it’s on you when it goes wrong.

And on track boundaries. Watched the replays a bit and people are definitely, purposefully cutting the corners big time. Watched a few people cut every possible corner lap after lap and I mean all 4 wayyy over the white line repeatedly. How fair is that to people following the rules. That’s one I’m going to be a real stickler on this season. Unfortunately I don’t know if I will have time to watch all the replays from each persons view and file 800 IR’s tonight but going forward I will take note when I see it and report it every time. Clean it up guys.

I’m expecting to be on a few IR’s. I tried to be as clean as possible (small taps maybe but nothing too bad) and I’m certain I didn’t cut corners (not on purpose anyways), but I’m still expecting to be on there.

Ok, I’m exaggerating quite a bit. I just assume I’m on there if things like this come up.

I agree with you. Seems these days that 2 wheels on the rumble areas is legal no matter where the other 2 tires are (example; grass). I don’t like it. I’ve posted my opinion in the main thread but nobody “bit” to carry a discussion about degrading boundaries. Dragon Trail Seaside is a great example how people would never drive in real life on the bus stop. So, you either adapt or get left behind. I’ve adapted. My discussion with a steward led me to straddle the orange bumps at Dragon Trail Gardens - turn 3 & 4.
I’d entertain (not speaking for SNAIL) using the GTS penalties for such OOB trips although I suspect it’s not perfect.

@Rob Brown

I'm out of town for the weekend. We will need a score keeper for sure and potentially a data guy.

I am going to try to connect remotely via PSN Remote Play and see what happens. I will not race as I can't drive with a controller, but if the connection works, I might do a live broadcast.

My availability over the October season will potentially be limited as I plan to make a few trips.

I should be around all of this month.. I can score.. Data? Not so much as my week nights are busy.
