I'm also willing to do scores after a refresher chat @racingchamp30 @JamCar0ne @JLBowler Questions I would like to review: 1) What is the data I must enter? 2) What are the steps as the evening unfolds, ie. race to race, sorting, etc. 3) What data entry would help the data specialist? @Nick Cannella time permitting. 4) Things to do as a fail safe/backup procedure. 5) @SAMHAIN85 mentioned doing live scoring with an update(s) throughout the night. I don't think I've seen this in div 3

Anyway, I'm around this afternoon and I'll try to notice messages.

Usually whoever does scores will text in the lobby "scores good" before i switch to reverse grid and changing combo's.
 
Can someone post the link for data and scoring duties please. I know there is a link that walks you through this stuff. I need a refresher please. @JLBowler, have I been given access to data sheets as requested?

If you want access to the sheet, that request needs to be made via a private conversation as you will be required to share an email address.

As a side note, you already have access to the data sheet through the email you submitted with your time trial. Most likely left over from your last stint in SNAIL.

There are two posts in the main thread that require the attention of those in D3 that raced on Sunday.

RacingChamp30 is not able to make his prize selection due to weather related issues so suggestions are being taken to make that prize selection.

We also have an absentee prize winner from this division so suggestions are being taken for a track to go with the Nissan Fairlady.
 
The replays are up. I'm sure someone could pull the race results off the replay.

I've entered results for R2R1 from a message I was sent. I'll now check the replay. Why didn't I think of that? Oh, yeah. I'm new.

edit: @FooleyCooley was in 8th and didn't cross the finish before the race timed out. I entered him in 8th. Fooley didn't show up in the photo of the race results I was sent.

Another question: In this situation, using a replay to get results, I'm assuming I FF until last place is just about to finish and then record data from the "Live Timing" tab. Where do I find the the total race length? (I used the time in the Results photo @Xexploit sent me)? It seems impossible to get a lap time for the last lap of the last finisher. What if this is their fastest lap? What if it's the FL of the race?

The questions you ask are for the Data Specialist. I will try and answer that in a tutorial video coming soon.

For the scorekeeper:
If a driver don't complete the race (stop, quit the race, dc, or whatever reason) they get placed in the order of events. The one who dc/quit first will get last place. A second dc/quit will get second last place and a driver that stops will get the place he is in accordingly.
 
Just a season ending note. I just wanted to thank the people in div 3 for the quality racing this season. The scores for last Sunday are great. Very tight. @Tier1_bear7 keep on keeping on. It only gets better. Ask around, I too had your view of the field last year. Now look where I am....5th!! Woo! Hoo! :cheers::cheers: No really, woo. hoo. :gtpflag:Here's to next season for those of you joining me in div 4.
