How do you transfer something from a USB stick to PS3? I've never done this before. I copied all the files to the USB, plugged it in to the PS3, but then when I go to the USB option on any of the menus it says "no videos" "no pictures" etc. Does anyone have a link to a more detailed ho-to for this? Thanks

You have to look at the USB stick under saved data. It's in the same column as games in the XMB. If they don't show up there, you may have to reformat the USB drive and try again.

It is believed the PS3 will write to an NTFS drive but will not read from it.
Best to format USB in FAT32

Looks like I won't make it Sunday. We are switching Internet service providers and I'm not sure if i'll have service established in time. I could Hotspot my phone but that'd probably cause issues so i'll just wait until I'm back up and running to join. Good luck to all!

Great news! Was able to get our new service up and running just now. Looks like I'll be there tonight barring technical difficulties. The speeds look ok. 22 down and 5 up testing through the ps3. Hopefully I can get on and race without issues.

Great racing last night everyone! That was a hell of a night and there were so many different people on the podium that it shows how competitive and tight division 3 has become.

Personally, in race 2 of combos 1 and 2, I had to get through a lot of defensive driving and looking back at it I may have lost my chill a little bit. I apologize if I was overly aggressive toward anyone and encourage you to file an IR against me if warranted. SNAIL is about having fun not collecting virtual trophies and my competitive furor came out last night after feeling like I was being beaten around a bit.

I hope my driving didn't affect anyone negatively and truly enjoy racing against everyone here. If it did, hold me accountable, I will look at the replays after work and self report any overt infractions but don't leave it to me.

Finding the balance between clean and assertive has been my toughest challenge in SNAIL. Sometimes I get too patient and taken advantage of and sometimes I push to advance and get too aggressive. The sweet spot eludes me at the moment but I am working on it.

Cheers to all D3 drivers! Good luck to all next season. :gtpflag:

First time racing on a Sunday night in almost two months. Sad to say, not much has changed in d3. A lot of drivers in here need to go re-read the rules and abide by them. Far too many dive bombs last night. Just because you have your front fender near my rear does NOT give you the right to the inside line.

I don't mind rough racing and bumping here and there, its part of the game. But being pushed off line is uncalled for. And for Combo 2, I seen so many people corner cutting thru some sections. Clean it up and race right. I won't be filing any IR's this week (albeit I know I should) so take this as a stern warning to clean up the driving and race how you're suppose to. Or next week will be different.

Hope I wasn't an offender. I know I had a few "cuts" in round 2 due solely to overdriving into the esses. I didn't gain any sort of position or time advantage because I had to slow way down to get back online so those should be OK and incidental as far as I remember.

I don't quite remember you and I having any on track contact so hopefully I'm not one who caused you grief but I'll have to see during replay review. I know I did have some dicey moments with a few others where a review will help determine if I was right and being blocked or squeezed or if I was wrong and was asserting a line I hadn't earned.

It's really difficult to judge in the midst of a battle when you have a run and the guy ahead leaves space under him so you take it only to have them turn all the way down into the apex where you are. If you slow down too much you're dead on the straight and if you push back maybe you're a dick. The only way to definitely be 100% clean would be to let everyone drive ahead and lap by yourself away from everyone else.

I understand your frustration and share it sometimes but filing IR's and letting the system play out is how we all get better and helps everyone including, and especially, the at fault party. I have many areas I need to improve still and battling in a pack where we all are at about the same pace is the biggest one. It's a work in progress but I'm sure it's a point of weakness for many and if we have the right attitude toward each other but keep each other honest we will all get better and the racing will improve over time.

Combos1 and 3 were not bad at all, the Mustangs were so slow and it was a momentum track. The Pagani races didn't seem too sketchy besides the usual light contact here and there.

Combo 2 was a train wreck.. Too many people dive bombing all over the place, too much contact and wheel drops, and overall sloppy driving. The car and track combo was a lot of fun but it was soured a bit by incident after incident and people making up their own crazy driving lines and track boundaries.

Combo1 had way to many rear Enders. People bumping bumpers hard enough to push others off line. It is not a right of the person following to bump others in front constantly during a race. It looked like a rule we were suppose to follow. " make sure you bump everyone in the rear as often as possible". It was really bad. And it snow balled into more offensive driving attitudes as the race went on. First week in snail where I didn't enjoy it. :(

If you had the time to complain in public, yes this is public, then you have the time to file some IRs. You have a little under two hours to get that done. Discussion of racing incidents in public is not allowed and can be subject to penalties.

It's one thing to offer an apology to the division but it's something very different to call out "a lot" of drivers for not following the OLR.

ok so what do you guys think is a good combo to agree upon do we pick a few then vote via likes on the combo suggestions or what?

i think it would be cool to do american muscle again only more muscle this time around. maybe like the ZR1 race car or Ford GT.

what about Ford GT @ apricot hill ? that could be cool (this isn't my official pick just throwing idea's out there)

We all suggest a combo in the main thread. Then whitey will pick from our combos. At least that's how it's worked in the past.

And that's exactly how it still works. The idea is that the whole division gets to make their preference known. It a way of getting more drivers involved in the selection process when there is a duplicate prize winner in the same month.

does anyone want to offer there time to be the data specialist for Div3 ? we are the only division that hasn't posted times for this sundays races. Due in large to the fact that we don't have a data specialist. who's up for the task ? its not super hard to do.
IF your interested please message JamCarOne he can explain it further for you.

Whomever completed data entry for this week, thank you, be sure and claim your shells.

Hello fellow D3 drivers,
I've been missing race night for the last few weeks, but it has not been for a lack of trying. Work and family events has had me overly busy. I was hoping to be back tonight, but I have a long day of work ahead of me again today. Hopefully next week, I will be able to get back in the competition. Good luck to everyone tonight and a welcome to any new D3 additions.
