Why are others making new threads for each season? Should be one for each division and as drivers change they watch a different thread. Making a new thread every month just seems unnecessary

It's because that has what has been asked of them. I for one wouldn't want to join D4 and then sift through 6 pages from the previous month. Why do some people always have to complain about just about everything?

@MajorBlixem I am willing to help with Data or Replays. Last month in D5 @aerolite said he was also willing to help with Data. If he is willing to do Data I am willing to step aside and let him earn the shells.

For one, if a Division Manager changes, then the new DM isn't able to edit post #1. For two, because that's what the BoD decided after a lot of discussion.

As a general statement, we, the BoD, put in a lot of effort to discuss most everything that comes up in SNAIL. Things often don't happen by chance. They happen because we discuss them, and others bring great ideas to us.

Must say I'm a bit surprised to find myself in D4, it will be a good challenge and looking forward to it.
I can help with whatever is needed, although I have plenty of $hells Mark, lol.
Unfortunately I have to miss tonight as I will be working well into the evening, but I will be attending the rest of the season. Have a great night of racing and I will see you all next Sunday.

Aero, my man! Good to see you again and race with you. We're gonna leave each other plenty of room and have lots of fun, right?

We'll miss you tonight but next week it's on! I'm working 12-8 today so I'm gonna get home around 8:30, shower, and get some practice in because I barely have any and it's my first week back. I don't want to start no trouble now y'hear.
 
My TV power outlet just went kaput (we have been having power surges since yesterday due to heavy electrical activity). If I can't swing a replacement in time, I'm out today.

On duties, I can do whatever needs doing (on nights where the Elements aren't breaking my things).

There are some great guys in D5 Paddy. You are bound to have a good time and have great races!
 
I'll miss you paddy! D4 and D5 are usually interchangeable from season to season. Those two divisions are a lot of fun.
 
@CoachMK21 You are definitely racing tonight? If so, then I have to pick a new number now otherwise I have a week to think of one.

Actually nevermind. None of the cars tonight allow for number plates. Two are standard and one is a one-off race car.

What's the official ruling on headsets in emergencies during the race? Tonight there were a few times where I assumed fault and went to the back of the field only to find out later that I didn't need to do that. If someone chimes in real quick on their headset witgh something like "You're good" or "Keep going", that would be great and we can continue to have a great race. Is that allowed? I can't find a page with details.

that would fall under radio chatter penguin mics are only to be used by the host/DM during a race.
 
It is also allowed to use the mic during the race to notify a driver and the host that someone is lagging so that they can take care of the issue asap.

no. You pretty much got 1 of 2 options either be competitive and risk it or race like you did last night and take any situation as your fault and drop back
 
I second that answer. The point of your probation is for you to learn when you have made mistakes and atone for them on your own. If in doubt, make a concession. Even if you didn't need to make a concession, it shows class and maturity and people do notice that kind of thing.
 
Thanks. I guess it just sucks when you're having a fun close battle and give it up for what ends up being nothing. We had a slightly smaller crowd last night and if it was 10+ the whole night there would still be people to race against and it wouldn't hurt as much.

When looked at from another way, one might think I should know better by now what is and isn't wrong so I should know when not to concede just as much as when to. That's asking a bit much. No one thinks that, right?
 
You are right a year+ snail should know what is what. So here a question for you, Why don't you?
 
I know as much as I can. I'm not Data from Star Trek. I can't be aware of all that information in every moment. I'm also not omnipresent. I can't see other drivers' perspectives during the race, nor can I see everything from my racing view. I can also only look out one direction at a time.

Like you said, I'll just back off if I have any doubt what-so-ever.
