Great response, Thank you.
Now we just need a few more Backups to the positions. We all know the feeling, when it’s time to start, and all the responsibilities aren’t covered.
Please consider getting the training to be in a position to help when it is needed.

I can be backup host, so long as the knowledge required for hosting is found in the OLR.

And I can also do backup replays

Fantastic, every position is filled except the Backup Data Specialist.

Training is available for each Duty - all you need do is ask about it.

Sadly all I can do is Host - the other “computer functions” are beyond my comprehension.

Regarding Thursday Official Practice:

“Tomorrow we will have 2 separate practice lobbies. I will host the D1/D2 lobby and @Wolfsatz or any other volunteer will host the D3/D4 lobby. Please make sure you join the correct lobby based on your division.”

Here's an observation from practice on Thur, Mar 18. re: starts at Panorama in the Vette. Race 2 start was messy with 10 of 14 cars exceeding track limits by the exit of turn 1. I was early in the gravel. I think start line bobbles were a large contributing factor and I think I can help. IMO a no rev approach is the best. Just hit the gas at zero. I squeeze hard and some hammer it, and the massive early torque launches the car with no wheel spin. In previous races I've gained positions using this method. However, at Panorama I think it's important we all get through turn 1 cleanly. So, if you've had trouble controlling wheel spin in the 'vette, try this. It works a hot damn. If we all get away equally maybe there will be a better chance mayhem will be avoided. See you tonight.

I might suggest “No passing” until AFTER Turn 1. We could see how that works.
Double file thru T1 then Drop the Pedal.

Great idea. I would also suggest the race is not won on turn one. It would be a whole different story if this league ran with full damage on.../

I'm thinking with the reduced numbers of just div 4 and clean launches at the start, and some practice at 2 wide through turn 1, including outside room on the exit, we (I) can do it. I'm going to go practice that right now.:) OOPS. forgot to press 'post'.

I just finished practicing starts at Panorama in my combo 3 lobby and I found wheel spin much more of a problem than it was on Thursday. Is that possible? My new approach is 0 throttle and a gentle squeeze at zero. I should now be able to leave room on the inside of turn 1 without going off myself.

Try launching in 2nd gear. But even if you do nail a good launch, it will be difficult to make a pass leading into the 1st corner given how narrow the track is. And 3 wide going into turn 1 almost always leads to mayhem. Bathurst doesn't offer a ton of passing opportunities, but if you're patient enough they will come to you. Good luck

I'm just trying to get in sync with the flow, not too fast, not too slow. I'll try 2nd gear. Thanks Sam.

Another fine season of racing. Points each night were hard earned and the overall race was close. Too bad about the dwindling numbers though. I'm thinking there'll be 3 divisions for next season. First race Sunday saw an epic battle between myself and my new BFFs, @FooleyCooley and @CourageRising. Fooley, I hope my pass in turn 4 was clean, even if a little aggressive. As backup backup data specialist I ended up watching all replays and the race craft I observed was excellent. And as @TEX36 predicted, we all got a podium. And, we all posted a fastest lap time. And dealing with last place setting their fastest lap of the race was challenging. Not as much when it was the FL for the race. And that happened 2 times! I've taken advice from @Nick Cannella and am working on turning my aggression down and I think it's working. Thanks Nog. Looking forward to more of the same next season.:)👍:gtpflag:
