Well that was a disaster.

First race the NSX was a dead weight off the line and the I had to fight it all race long to get it to go around any sort of corner. Second race I tweaked the diff a bit to try and cut the understeer and was able to get a good battle going with @llNovall until slipped and punted him in t1. After going off track a few more times I just called it and retired to the pits.

Anyways, appreciate y'all letting me step in as a reserve!

It was brewing up to being a great battle, and that contact was ever so slight....just enough to bump me too far. Either way, it happens and was a good race with you while we had it. Was great having you on the grid tonight, and hope you'll join us again down the road if needed. See ya in the Porsches at Suzuka. :cheers:
 
Since i practiced and still got lapped by both classes in both races, i hereby request 5% less weight & 5% more power . . . . and hell, while I’m at it, 40 second head start. Oh yeah, and 10 pts for not dropping out either race!

I wouldn't call the battle with me "a battle" I was pretty useless that night. R1 I only got lucky with people making mistakes and then R2 got caught up in TCR traffic which severed any chance of a tow and staying in touch and then out of frustration and boredom spun lol

Post Race Report​

Event #8 at Sardegna, as expected, delivered many intense and long enduring battles across the grid and both Classes. Many awesome passes and defenses were on display, while some others, not so much. Either way, this event did present the promised challenges.
A few notable battles to watch are Race 2 between @Moby45 and @Stryker13 in the TCR Class, myself @Granadier early, and then my battle with @Roman_GT23 in Race 2 ....a 9 lap battle to the finish, and the position battles about 1/3 into Race 2 between @GTR4MROD, @Noob01_lmdead, @GTP_Guido, and @Roman_GT23. Many more were had as well. Race broadcast will be posted in hopes of catching most of them.
Feel free to share and elaborate on any races you may have enjoyed. Great job to everyone on the grid Friday night.

Stewards Summary
2 incidents were reported and reviewed.
1 resulted in a point deduction penalty, the other was decided a penalty but on track result satisfied and required no further action.

Hey TCR crew- ran a practice race, average laps were in the mid 1:44s. The fastest I managed was a 1:43.9, but optimum was a 43 flat. (Used dragon trail tune)
Reckon with tweaking + slipstream in the race we could hit high 1:42s
Tyres were a bit ordinary towards the end, so might need to save a bit. Fuel no worries as per usual

To all Drivers tagged in this post, please confirm your status by posting here in the thread or via PSN message that you "will" or "will not" be racing by 5pm Thursday (day before race night) to secure your grid spot and/or to adhere to the absentee policy.


The final Driver BOP regulations have been updated and shown in the 2nd post of the thread. Please verify and apply these latest numbers to your car before entering the race room.

Also, I would ask that all drivers re-review section 4 of the first post, tabs 4.1 (Multi-Class Racing etiquette) and tab 4.2 (Caution process) for the series; and tab 1.7 (Race Start Procedure) to refresh and be ready on race night. Any questions at all, please reach out and clarify before race night.

The race Event schedule is shown below:
9pm est- open room and verify bops/warm up
9:15pm est -15 minute Open qualifying
9:30pm est - 24 laps to = 40 minute Race 1
10:15pm est- 24 laps to = 40 minute Race 2, (Reverse grid)
Race will be using all updated series rules and format. (Caution rules will be used if needed)

Driver BOP Chart

All drivers are required to be in the party chat whether they have a mic or not. Caution calling and directives will be issued through the party chat, and for those without a mic, it would come through your monitor/tv audio.

**(In the event a Caution is called during the race, I ask everyone to be patient and cooperative.)**

***Please review tab 4.2 in the first post and clarify or ask any questions before we get to race night.***

All drivers who make it on the grid as a single or dual room event, please stay in the race event for the night, as we will have had to turn some drivers away and it would be a wasted opportunity for them to race ir you entry is needed to keep the 2 room grid whole. If you do not plan on participating for the duration of the night, leave the spot open. In the Event of a solo off track or spin, run to gather up as many points as possible (and there is always the possibility of a Caution to get you back up to field) Stay with it.

Primary Drivers will be given priority for each class, then go to the Reserves for each class as needed. Reserve Driver priority will be based on prior testing/time trialing participation, then based on order of availability. Please reply your intentions either way.

Also, a reminder to our Reserve Drivers: in the event we secure confirmations of at least 14 GS Drivers and at least 10 TCR Drivers total for each class, we will separate the race Event into 2 race rooms by Class. Once confirmed, your entry is being relied on for attendance.


Anyone with a 👍 has already confirmed and are noted to be present for Friday, March 5th. Everyone else, please confirm, here in the thread or via PSN message, that you "will" or "will not" make it no later than 5pm est Thursday (Day before Race Night). *Please reply either way*
