I assume you're going up to Mount Washington? Lucky bastard. I haven't been up yet this year, and this is the best year I've seen there since I moved here. I've got a free pass and everything, but no suitable time to go up *kicks self*.
I'm not sure whether you've been up there before, but their terrain/boardpark is fairly big and lots of fun (even on skis). It would be worth it to use a board that can handle both jumps and normal terrain.

Just came back from the hill.

We saw the dude who stole my friend's goggles (we stole them back from him the next day, right off his head, funny story) and we heckled him 'til no end.

But we were mostly riding park and enjoying the warm weather and decent jumps. I dialed in my frontside one on larger jumps, now I gotta learn how to throw 3s (not so hard apparently) and grabbed ones.

They were also carving up the pipe (finally, they broke the Zaugg earlier this year); it should be ready for the weekend.

Every time I ride I remember how much I love it. Day 31 baby, and I'm going tomorow night, Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday during the sun hours. Should be a good time.

Good luck on Saturday dude. You'll love it, I guarantee it.

I'm in Montreal, Quebec.

Mont Avila is Eastern Canada's freestyle capital, with the privnce's best park. Mont St. Sauveur (connected to Avila) also hosts a huge competition (Empire SHakedown), Eastern Canada's biggest comp by far. The St. Sauveur valley is a 31 minute drive if you respect traffic laws (keeping it below 120kph) from my house. The are some closer hills (Centre de Ski Mont Rigaud at 20 minutes away) but they're not worth the gas money to get there.

I have a pass that applies to about 7 mountains, so I get to ride a variety of hills, but I ride exclusively park at Avila. When I hear Jay Peak Vermont got whallopped with fresh pow, I go down there (2 hour drive) for some big mountain riding.

I love park riding, but I am always looking forward to some proper mountain riding, pow slashes and tight tree lines.

For my out West trip, I'm probably going to drive out there from Quebec, stay at Mica Creek for a couple days, then head on over to Vancouver, maybe hit up Grouse and then up to Whistler. I just need to work up the money for a car and then the cash for the trip. We're looking possibly at a 2010 run to go for the Olympics.

It's a great feeling though. All of my friends work part time here and there, and they always laugh at me when I complain how tight I am on cash. That's okay, Isay to them, I have more time to Snowbaord. This summer though, work April (some Spring riding is an order though) 'til August, buy a car, go off galavanting on road trips, come back and work September and October, quit and shred my little pants off next winter. I love it.
