In Las Vegas, when I go to sleep, it is 99F (37C) out. That's 1 AM for those of you who don't chat with me on AIM or MSN. During the day, we're lucky if we don't break 110F (43C) but usually it hovers around 113F (45C) and sometimes goes higher.

So? It's over ninety when I get up at 5:00 AM and over 110 every stinking day in Phoenix. At least until September. I bet Vegas, as a place to live, sucks as much as Phoenix.

I've never had the comfort of airconditioning at work. Since I work in a kitchen it wouldn't be very effective or efficient. But I would have to say that my experiences on the LEast Coast of the US have been the worst for the kitchen. Not only due to the high heat, but the added humidity. The humidity is what bothers me the most.
115 deg, and 12% humidity. I'll take that over 90 and 90% humidity anyday in the kitchen.

I worked as a bagel baker in Chicago (Evanston actually) for a summer. It was the hottest summer Chicago had seen, maybe ever. Hundreds of people died. It was a brand new Bruegger's Bagel joint and the Air conditioning died (for some reason they refused to just close the place even though anyone who walked in promptly turned around and left). For those of you that may not already know, bagels are boiled in a big vat of water. It gets incredibly humid in there. And the outside humidity was already 100%. So... 500+ degree oven, giant vat of boiling water, 100% humidity at 110 degrees outside, and no air conditioning. It was 140 degrees in my work area for a couple days. I got a rash.
 
Josh, how the hell is it 72 down there? Its like frickin' 85 up here and raining! Drive up here and take me down there! I'll give you directions to my house.

It's 74-75 degrees here right now, and the humidity is still 94%.:cool: Instead of me driving up there how about you just walk down here?:p

Her Corn Starch is more than just a thickener. 👍

Prevents rash and has a wonderful silky smooth feeling. ;)
 
It's uh...about 20-25 Celcius during the day here...:| It's ok, a bit on the cold side though.

As far as I know it's going to be fixed, but when I don't know. I swear if I sweat through my shirt I'm outa' here.

Oh, stop yer whingin... Be thankful you don't live where I do, or north - temps regularly exceed 40 degrees Celsius and sometimes even 50 degrees... :mad:

Chances are the coolant is frozen over, meaning it was overworked.
