Same as PSN but I dont use it.
....and it was worth it.:dopey:. I can buy games that are cool, long lasting careers, HD with badass graphics:dopey:, and lots of detail.(finally). I bought Forza Motorsport 2:dopey: and Rainbow Six Vegas 2:dopey:.

Both games are great:tup:. Have you ever looked at the graphics in HD?(I know you do) Daaaaaang:drool:

:O It just feels so good to be one of you guys.

Cant wait to see you guys online(someday).

reamember that time when you opened the box? ''ohh snap, I gotta play this''
you just dont know where to start right?

I'm just saying I bought the 360. and yes I know.... "wow you barely got it "....(at least I'm not the only one :D)

ive bin wanting too get a Xbox almot just for forza2 , but .... G25 isnt compatible

i know that the base (arcade) is 199.99$ (us/can)
but theres no WIFI
no HD player (even its opsolete)
need too pay extra for battery/charger
not compatible with wheels

im still jealous everytime i got too my cuzins and i see him play forza

friends at school are trying to convince me into getting a Xbox lol

Only reason I would not want it is the PS3 has the games I want.

Forza 2, my friend told me of his 1000HP civic... thats a joke right???

I dont know Fujiwara-kun. It might be posiible because of the engine swaps you can do^

edit: I cant believe I said "Forza 2 could be a suckish game" :slapped myself:
the engine sounds cant be better. if you played or have Forza 2, try and compare the car's engine sound to thr real car on youtube.

Welcome to the family, you made a good choice! R6V2 is a great game and FM2 will just have you hooked for months with the Auction House and paint shop. See you online...!

Xbox live is great. I'm waiting on my fourth 360 right now. I have had the red rings of death 3 times in 1 and a half years. That is by far the biggest downfall of the 360. Everytime it's happened while playing an EA sports game, try and stay clear of those. I am not the only person I know that it's happened to while playing madden. Almost everyone I know was playing either madden, or ncaa football when they got the red rings. It takes anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks to get it back. I think from now on I will by almost all of my games for the ps3. The only 360 games I will by are the exclusives.

Good luck with your 360. I hope you make it at least a couple of months, before you have to send it in. It is a great console though, enjoy it while it lasts.

Touch wood the new models should have much better reliability. It's unacceptable how much they break, but XBL is so good that it's impossible not to stay away!

I think I've had my 360 for close to three years with no red rings at all, although the DVD drawer does get get stuck. With the 360 now being priced around the £130 mark for the basic bundle it's definitely worth investing especially with the classic games that are available.

Xbox Live is a must.

For the love of all that is good please don't recommend the arcade pack (£130) and Live at the same time, that's a way to get people really unhappy with you.

Get those and get on-line and all of a sudden it sinks in just how much you need a HDD (a friend of mine did just this - impulse buy), a 60gig HDD pack for £170 is the bare minimum you need if you want to go on Live.

Your right, I just mentioned the £130 price tag as you can pick the hard drives up on Ebay quite cheap although your probably better off buying a package with a free LIVE gold trial. I don't know why they sell the 360 without a hard drive as most of the games I've played require it.

My beef with 360's and i quote this to everyone who argues with me about it, The 360 isn't truely HD unless its the elite version because thats the only one with a HDMI output!
I do agree that its alot cheaper and you can get most games I would play on it but if I were going to buy a claimed HD console I want it to have a HDMI output.

I don't want ot start a console war but that was just my opinion

I thought component was HD? That what it says here anyway

Mine is a Pro and it has HDMI output. All Pro models have had them for quite a while now!
I still run mine off of Component though due to my audio needs, the difference isn't that much with a decent component cable.

thank you all....but I will not be playing Live until feburary. I will buy the xbox live package tho.

I can drift and beat yall first to the finish line in forza2 and I can shoot you right in the head in Raimbow six vegas 2 latter. I need to get my skills up first.

in Feburary(I hope)

When you decide to get a gold LIVE gold subscription check Ebay first as I purchased mine for £26 rather than the £50 fee that Microsoft charge directly from there site.

I picked up a used hard drive along with my 360 arcade, a friend with hdmi gave me his regular HD cables, and picked up a 20gig HD(plenty for me) for 50 more dollars(used), about 250 total. Also a 20 gig hard drive is fine for going on live, I definitely wouldn't call the 60 gig HD a bare minumum for online. Of course, that dinky memory stick won't cut it, but a 20gig hd is fine for my needs.

I seem to recall TB showing me a site where you could get an HDMI cable for around five dollars...what a ripoff huh? That five dollar cable is really a dealbreaker for me.

Oh yeah, I started playing Forza 2 again a few weeks ago for the sake of playing around with my real car. RSX Type-S is pretty much the same once your throw a limited slip under it. Sounded quite a bit like my Civic. With a racing exhaust it makes me want to get one even more...

Yep, as long as Microsoft doesn't push game installations, which it doesn't look like they will.

Not all 360 consoles have an HDMI output, but that's fine since component cables can handle HD.

I've got a 20 gig, and I play online regularly. The only problem I've had so far is that I don't get to store a bunch of demos, which isn't a problem at all. Of course, I haven't bought any TV shows or anything yet.

ALSO: The instant queue for Netflix is AWESOME. I was given a 6-month free Netflix subscription as a wedding present, and this has added a ton of value to it. Highly recommend it.

I hope too nk4e
If I'm lucky, I'll get enuf money to buy the live Package.(Pray and wish me good luck:bowdown:. I'll be your best buddy)I know I'm a little stupid noob right here, but in a game I a great friend and opponent:sly::trouble:
(this goes for everybody)^

yeah you see i said HDMI output and you're saying HDMI cable, kinda a difference there. But I have been informed now that quite a few 360's other than the elite have HDMI outputs. I have now changed my views on the 360..... it's ok.
