now it's going in the attic.

The new tire wear is ridiculous and has taken all of the fun that was left in the game for me away (turning tire wear off takes ALL realism away and affects aspects of competitive play that should be there)

The same cars win every single street car race. There have been no balance changes or physics adjustments where they were needed. GTR, M3, NSX, Italia. I'll never, ever purchase anything nissan because of this game and the need to portray the GTR as the end-all-be-all of racing, of which nothing else can compete with (Balance problem, realism problem, marketing).

No good new content. They took a year to add different mode restrictions and one decent track - oh, but there were 12 "new" skylines.......

The game has been locking up to a black screen until I force the PS3 down every time there is a track vote.

I will not be buying GT6 or anything from PD ever again. This, mainly because of their ignorance to what the community asked for, for over a year.

so its not for you .. no problem

and you wanted to let the forum know that, no matter what PD release, you aren't going to buy it ... okay

I like GT5, and am generally very pleased with how it is being supported & developed ... just thought you'd like to know ;-)

Just wait. Gt6 is gunna be the best racing game every with every feature and car imaginable but u just put yourself at a disadvantage.

On a serious note. Pd has been working very hard on updating this game AND working on GT6. So be grateful and respectful, pd is working hard

I honestly don't get why people make these threads, are we supposed to care? are we supposed to feel sympathetic towards you? You don't like the game, thats great, but frankly I don't see a reason for you to tell all of us..

yea im gonna be ignorant to your post
stop being a noob and using racing soft's on 500hp cars!

do you think the GT-R is inaccurately portrayed? it's faster than supercars with ten times the price tag around a real world track, it's not an end-all in GT5, but it is damn fast, like it's real world counterpart.

I haven't seen anything wrong with the tire wear, looks fine to me.

How do you know if that's not how it actually is? With no specific regulations over online players, some cars will dominate over others. I'm not seeing this GT-R thing your talking about, haters gonna hate?

2 "new" skylines. One decent track would all be in your opinion of course.

The game has been locking up to a black screen until I force the PS3 down every time there is a track vote.

I think there is a way to fix that, search it up.

I think your being ignorant. They have been giving us everything (Don't quote me on that) "we" wanted. We wanted Race Modified cars, they gave us a bunch, even though many don't like 'em, but they gave some to us. We asked for Spa, hey look! There it is. We asked for the Aventador, standard to premium and the Test Course. Look! They're here! Get your facts straight.

As of how you feel about the game, all up to you. Just get your facts straight next time, if there is to be a next time.

Ok, 10 reasons why to like GT5:

1) PD dont care for one customer.
2) GTP community dont care for one customer
3) You should be grateful to PD. They are giving us stuff for free, when they could be charging them. For instance, those regular updates on Seasonals that everyone is taking for granted? They could be released as weekly DLC since they include a high value of XP and cr, thus helping players through their progress in the game, also releasing hard-to-find race cars and road cars in brand new condition in the Online Car Dealership.
4) There's not an Online Pass, unlike other titles, thus they are not ripping us off (unlike Codemasters / EA) so you can buy a used GT5 copy and not be charged another 10$ for the online pass.
5) Regular DLC releases including cars and features that the community has been asking for. So PD listens to its fans.
6)Our producer is a professional racing driver who also participates in the 24h race in Nurbrurgring along with other professional drivers.
7) Some of the updates included free content for all users.
8) That 200% bonus? Could be available to only those who purchased DLC packs.
9) Only game of its kind on PS3. Shift and Shift 2 Unleashed are an utter fail as far as im concerned.
10) Gran Turismo is a series going on for more than 15 years, meaning that both Kazunori and his team are highly experienced and really good at their job.

So, there you have it. Now, crawl back to whatever hole you came from. 👍

I don't have much of a problem with PD's progress. The tire update however was a step backward and obviously enraged race series stewards and participants. And for me I wished they could have reverted to the old tire model on 2.03. But until that time we just have to suck it up and try to combat it. Humans adapt to practically anything, right?

The DLC content thus far was no disappointment to me. Maybe it wasn't an entire 2010 Super GT Car Pack or a Le Mans Car Pack, but the choices they made so far tested their ability to skew towards the audience. And for me they did exceptionally well. Especially with the surprise visit of the iconic Aventador. Route X for me should have been combined with the Car Pack instead of being separate, though.

My point is that PD is making some decent progress. I wouldn't want to pressure them too much. Perfection doesn't ring around just like that.

Well, I don't see why you made this thread. Most people aren't going to feel the same as you nor will they feel sympathetic towards you. I know I don't. PD has done a great job updating GT5 and adding new content, and it looks like you aren't able to realize that. ~Turtle

Can see where your coming from but the tyre wear is the same for everyone remember so there is the same chance of winning than there always was, I like the fact that everyone has to pit, just make races that are 12 laps+
The new patch should bring some welcome changes so hold off getting the loft ladder out till next week!

I'm sorry you feel that way, but I've found that PD have done some really awesome things to the game with a few missteps along the way. They have provided a lot of free updates and even though most of it should have been in the game to begin with it was still welcomed in my book. 2.0 brought updated physics along with many other feature, they have continually improved the look of standards cars, SPA is freaking awesome and one of my new favorites, I like the Touring Cars a lot, and this update next week looks good as well.

The game isn't for everybody, I understand that. Sometimes when we get angry about bugs or missing features I think we need to step back and look at what GT5 does well, and in my opinion it's more than any other game I've played. At the same time games are supposed to be fun and if you aren't having any than it is time to put the game away. Just keep it around so you can put it in the PS3 in a few months and see if they have fixed your complaints. I get the feeling they will adjust the tire wear rate again.

Fortunately for me, 14 months later I'm still having a ball and will be back next week after a two week breather so I didn't get burned out.

GT5 as a whole is a pleasant experience, of course it has its own gripes but excels in many other features.

I remember a long long time ago reading a F40 review in a car magazine when the car was out how much I would like to drive that beauty/beast.

Today I have the chance to pick a bone stock F40 and drive in a pitch black Nurb waiting for the sun to rise up, that feeling all alone worths every euro spent on this game.

I love this game, but this is just my opinion, if only I could play every day...

Not the first thread like this, won't be the last, and really, the abuse just isn't worth the trouble.

Please be nice, people.
