So I figured out why SS Route 7 is not in the main A-Spec game

It's based of a Wangan Highway in Japan. Sadly, PD did a terrible job on it, I would like to see an Osaka street track..

I agree, but I think they kind of dropped the ball on the Wangan based tracks. I mean look at CSR5/SSR5 and SSR7, and they both feel so dead to me. Its like a ghost town. Where is the excitement, the lights, the people. R246 is much better, but they could have improved it as well.

Yeah, there's nothing I find prettier than the sound-baffling walls either side of the road. You can keep your Cape Ring vistas and Eiger mountainscapes; the concrete canyon of SSR7 is where it's at.

I don't know... there's something hypnotically alluring about a long... straight... stretch... of... zzzz...

This track is epic using extreme zoom in cockpit view in a Mclaren going 235 MPH. The turning radius is subtle enough to be extremely challenging when going that fast. If you so much as clip the rails the race is over.

The Mclaren with no aids is unstable enough that simply maintaining control of it for that long, even on straightaways is an intense experience. This game is what you make it.

We should just have the test course.
A proper place to test the car, like the machine test...

has anybody noticed... unfinished areas... on SSR5? There is a building with recessed windows that is just missing a few windows and you can see through the building to the interior of the track. Not that you'll notice it at 120mph but i happened to be in photo mode and saw it.

ON the subject of the Special stages, anyone know why the decided to completely change the landscape of SSR5, and adjust a few corners? It almost felt like a different circuit in some places compared to GT4 and earlier. I got caught out by the hairpin the first time as I was expecting to see the flashing lights/barriers, not just some dull grey walls.
I love the new look, it makes it WAY more believable/realistic to me - like its a real location and not just some made up course which the developers did to save time. Like the track now more than i ever have and really hope they don't change it again!

Terrible how so?

I seriously love SSR7, its awesome for high speed runs and more 'exciting' than driving around a huge long oval test track (although the test track should return too, so you have high speed drafting races). And if this isn't in the main game because some people could find it 'boring', then what is there to complain about? Just don't race on it!

And considering theres a heap of races where you never pit anyway.
