xbox is a joke
Yeah I'm like 96% complete with the game and I never really wanted to do the A-Spec endurance races because I just didn't feel like racing for a whole 24 hours, but is there any glitch or any tips for doing this?? I probably can't forward my PS3's time to like 23 hours later, can I???

There is a way you can pit, exit and leave turning the ps3 off but the catch is when you come back you can only do the enduro until it's finished.

When you get tired of racing pit. then when the options come up press suspend this will save your race and when you come back you just continue where you left off. you have to press the ps button and quite game after if you continue on it will not save it right. you can only do this race. until it is over if you try to play something else in the game you will quite the race. this sounds difficult but it is easy when you actually do it.

another thing you could do is if a bunch of your friends like racing. invite them all over and take turns. go until you have had enough then switch go get a snack then sleep etc... you know how it works

Yeah I remember the patch that added this feature.. I guess I might just have to do this.. but still those two 24 hour races will probably take me a good week or two each :(
What car did you guys choose?? I might choose the Chapparel 2J since it's the easiest to drive and it's hard to make mistakes in, and it's fast!

Inviting some friends over for a game night would actually be pretty cool now that I think about it!

I used the Mazda 787b just cause i like the sound of it and it was fun and hard to drive so i never really got bored

Unless you want to play "Pacman" following the racing line dashes in the dark, don't use that car...
it has no headlights. 👍

I used the X2010 for 24hr Nurburgring, because I am a massochist. :sly:

Spoilsport.

There's three keys to not being bored in a very long endurance.

1. Don't go overpowered.
Faster = more effort = more energy required = get tired quicker = get bored more easily. Plus stomping on your opponents is just a 24 hour long hotlap session. Who the hell finds that interesting?

2. No, seriously, don't go overpowered.
You know how boring F1 was when it was "line-up behind Schumacher and follow him"? Yeah, that. And that was for just 24 hours a season, not in one race.

3. Just pick a car you find fun to drive.
The AI are so hideously compromised on pit strategy and wet pace that you could beat them in a van. I beat six LMPs in a bone stock GT300 at the 'Ring - and while I cheated a great deal to do so (in an effort to highlight a glitch that has since been patched - result), it was only just beyond what's possible normally.

The 787B mentioned above is probably a chunk too much car, but at least it's good to drive and makes a great noise (I got to hear one passing me at Le Mans last weekend... they nailed it). Experiment with something like a tickled GT500 NSX or an RM car.

LeMans I used a Pesky Hybride Race Hards and ABS=0/ TCS=0
Not a hard win, once I got into a pattern.

Nurby 24
Gillett Vertigo with... Wet Tyres.
This was interesting.

If you pick ABS=0 or TCS=0 Tyre wear will be higher if you make mistakes and lock up into corners or spool up the rears with lashings of power out of slow corners...

Tips?
Get the RA menu set up so you can alter some settings during the race.
Brake Bias will help you find the sweet spot for the cars balance... and also let you soften the brakes if you want to run longer stints.
If things are going too hard - you can dial in some ABS and TCS to let you catch up - conversely if you have a big lead, you can turn off the ABS/ TCS etcetera to give the Ai a chance.
You can role play it out as mechanical gremlins that you have to endure until your next pits stop (When the pit crew can plug in the lap top and fix the brake servo or whatever.)

Tyres - get a range so you can match them to the pace of the AI cars... It is handy to have some Race Softs just in case you need to reel in the AI.

Mistakes happen and the insurance of some super softies to let you get the win will be useful if you are 23 hours into the race and a lap down.

how fast are the laptimes on the nordschleife of the al?
could i win it with the wedssport lexus, the GT300 car, fully tuned to 585PP?
