So I saw this Bugatti at the Ferrari Club of America meet today, we happened to leave at the same time.... I had to try :D Sorry for the cometary by my brother, but it was either that or put up with everyone asking why the heck I dubbed on music. :D

08 Bugatti owned by a local guy, same guy who did 219 mph in his lambo on the freeway, hes had it for about 8 days now, its a beast, quieter than I expected too

That's weird. Last I heard, the man behind the 219Mph Gold LP640 had been arrested for other charges.

Nope spoke to him in person today at the show, the media gave him lots of crap about it but no formal charges were filed.

From the thread title, I thought you raced in someone's old Grand Prix Bugatti. Ah, well.

Don't really condone street racing...but I don't think that qualifies as a race.

Did you go WOT or did he just haul ass to show off in front of you?

Either way, that video really shows just how fast the Veyron is.

I went WOT but he was still gone, 300 hp to 1000 hp is no contest, the owner was a real nice guy opened it up at the show and revved the engine for everyone, actually let people touch it instead of roping it off or something.

He sounds pretty cool. I'm glad he isn't making his million dollar super car a trailer queen.
I wish more super car owners were that nice.

Yeah dude, same here. I saw a guy with a Veyron with posters with prices.

1. 50 for pictures
2. $1 to sit inside.

Dumb stuff like that. :grumpy:

LOL, 50 cents for pictures he had taken of the car?

No,to take a picture with the car is 50 cents.

Sad, ain't it?

Which means that man is likely a true car guy. He opened up they car just so you see how fast it was, because he got the gear head mentality.

Wish more super car owners where indeed like that. Too many seem to be of the "here is my fast car that you can't own. Look at it, but not to close, as I have no soul."

And that is amazing how much faster it is at those speeds. Simply mind boggling.

LOL, you have to pay 50 cents to take your picture with it. Cute, but a kid could just stand near it and have his parents take a picture of it, with the owner unable to really do anything about it.

EDIT*
Finally watched the video all the way through (I had been distracted the first time), and jesus, as soon as he heard your engine, he was gone. Amazing how fast these supercars really are if they're challenged by what are still pretty good sports cars.

Yeah he was pretty cool, he was showing us the two keys and the various spoiler and ride height settings, answering questions from everyone, real nice guy, pretty young looking guy too.
