So I read about this one site in a book...

GTPlanet. Sounds like a good place to me! 👍

(incidentally the picture is really huge because my scanner said so - 1.5 MB)

Not sure if this was posted before, this is from a book called "The 2006 Gamer's Tome of Ultimate Wisdom". Just thought it was pretty spiffy, what with this site getting a mention in Actual Print!(tm)

This wasn't the first time GTP got in print, but never the less, very very cool indeed. Nice find!

Wow, that is cool – I bet Jordan will flip (in a good way) when he sees this thread. :)

Cool!

Well done everyone.

This is jsut further reinforcement for Jordan about how good this site is. 👍

Congrats Jordan!

I'm quite happy to work here, and this is a great thanks. In addition, the members need a pat on the back as well. They are the major source of info on this site.

Congrats to all!

Congrats Jordan, hmm I wonder how many other publications have meantioned it without us knowing.

Scanning magazines is copyright infringement! Hide the papers!

Anyways, congrats on yet another text feature in a magazine.

Nice, I just found out Jordan's Surname after reading Brad's link too :p
Nice to see us in yet another print/magazine. Did you know GTP would be this popular Jordan? ;)

Awesome!!! :D I had no idea we were mentioned in that book! It's always great to see our site getting recognition in print. This is our second mention in a published book that I'm aware of, with the first being The Cars of Gran Turismo (I'm also being interviewed for our third appearance in a book, to be published soon). As you guys have also pointed out, we've also been featured in Sport Compact Car and Performance Auto & Sound magazines. To second what Alex said, though, I really just keep the gears greased and pay the bills - no magazine or author would ever take notice the of the site if it wasn't for our outstanding members. 👍

ok, nice find'n'stuff, but since when do scanners dictate us how large an image should be?

any imaging software can resize something,
windows powertools, incorporated in the right-click dialogue can resize pictures,
and if one has neither of them, imageshack itself can resize the picture you upload. no criticism, just in case you wanted to know!👍

What, you didn't know how great GTP was?

Or that Jordan's last name is Greer?

Pssh... I've known that since 2 years ago... 👍

Very nice. Congratulations, Jordan. I also agree that members really do make this place special. And special thanks to the Admins and Moderators for your services. 👍

Well done Jordan 👍

Not surprising, though - GTP is the best site on the whole of the Internet. :D

Nice find, Yoshi, really nice. It's always cool to be on a well-known forum, especially when it's so "ridicously informative" as GTP (as the Wikipedia-article says). When forums get out in books, the forums has to be good. Oh, and Wikipedia-article tells a bit about GTP story, I see. Click here to see how it looked like in the start.
Again, nice find, and congratulations to you, Jordan.

It's really good to see that GTP doesn't go unnoticed- it has to be one of the best forums around, if not, the best! Sublime effort Jordan and all those who made this forum possible!👍:D:tup:

It just has to be said, this site is leagues above the others.
