About a month ago, I tried a barspin on my bike and I got wayy too much air. When I went up, I lost the grip and I started falling and landed on my left heel. I felt like I would black out. Then I just walked it off, iced it, then it was fine.

A week later, me and my buddies were doing a manual contest (Leaning on the rear wheel of the bike, balancing to see who can stay up the longest with out pedaling, type Manual in youtube if you don't know what I'm talking about) And I got the furthest during the manual but I slipped last second and my left foot went down, I hit my heel again but my ankle also twisted badly, and I found out I sprained it. Then I iced it, and it went away.

About a week ago, I did a 360 off a friends ramp and I tried to air it out while doing the trick, but I got too high and I was gonna spin more and land sideways and i didn't want that. So I bailed and hit my right heel this time. I felt like I was going to black out and I sat down and it went away a little, but I still went riding with my friends that night. So I hit it again yesterday and hurt my left foot again from just walking, so I went to the doctors. It's not broken, but extremely bruised from what she saw in the x-ray. And the skin is so thin form the heel bone to the outer heel, that the shock went through the tissue and right onto the bone. So I got these things wrapped for a week which means no riding :(

Any ways, here's my feet wrapped :indiff:

Sorry for my rant :p

If you hit it again a little, does it still hurt as much as it did before? That's all I'm worried about, if I go for another big trick and I happen to land hard on my feet, if it'll hurt :( Do you know zoxxy?

Ouch. Been there man, it isn't fun (well, getting there was atleast, but yeah) but atleast now you have an excuse for the ol' lady (mom or gf, whichever) to wait on you all day!

Sounds like you need a bigger jump though. Try to get more speed this time around too, I'm not sure why, but I can only assume it will help. Have you tried Unicycling at all? With snakes?

Haha, unicycling ... never. But the thing was that I had too much speed and I got too high also, and I would've done like a 540 or a 420 and would've landed sideways, and fall onto my head. That's why I bailed.

If you let it heal properly then there should be no reason why it shouldn't be 'as good as new'.

Also you do try to land on your balls of the feet as opposed to the heel, right?

Well, all heel bruises hurt like a mother. But mine passed pretty fast, a couple of rainy days and it was gone. But I dunno, I've had long-lasting problems with a sprained ankle 'cause I couldn't keep me off my skateboard. A rainy week of my board though, and it had passed.

I'm by no means an expert, but rest is always a great medecine.

At least your ankles will get better, my left one has been bad in terms of recurring problems with it, for almost 9 years. Ankle injureis can be a real big deal though i they arn't treated properly.

Dang, hope you get better soon. No blood, no meat flap?

Yeah it's killing me not to even ride my bike, but the right heel already feels better. It still hurts with some pressure. I'm praying it rains for a week until next Thursday 👍

This thread makes me want to get out my Haro and try BMXing again.:dopey: Anyways get well soon and have fun. Be easy on them things or you'll barely be able to ride a bike one day, ya' know?

Well, I'm an all or nothing kind of rider, I have no brakes and I'm not so scared to try stuff until I hit the first time and fall... I MISS MY BIKE.

But maybe I can tidy stuff up on it all week. Like clean it and spray some old parts over.

wow thats some bad luck right there. Landing on your left heel on 3 occassions. Get better soon!

You're telling me.

I don't know, man. Only a week? Try tearing your ankle ligaments, on the same ankle that you tore the ligaments on 8 months beforehand. I've been out for 8 weeks, and when I did it in the first place, my ankle was bent out of shape for a couple of weeks. That's when you should start complaining.

Hell, even I feel bad for complaining, because I know a guy that broke his ankle and it's never healed at all. He has a permanent limp.

Dude I get these a lot while skateboarding. Mainly when I am skating at loading docks. There are these docks near my house that are about 4.5 feet tall, and once, I tried to nollie off of one, messed up and landed directly on my heel. I felt exactly how you did. And I let it rest for about a week or so, and then it was fine. But one time, I landed on my heel again, not as hard as the first time, but it went back to hurting pretty badly again. I dont know how long you need to give it time to heal, but Id say be careful for at least 2 weeks.

Yeah, I'm just gonna go easy when riding my bike again, nothing too technical, just stuff I know I'm capable of landing. Then the next week, I'll start trying other stuff out. My parents are even saying to buy new shoes now soon because I keep complaining to them how much my feet hurt :p
