Recently announced news that Insomniac - one of the premier Sony exclusive dev houses - is to start going multi-format leaves me with uncertainty. Sure Resistance 2 wasn't as good as the first one, but it was still a quality game. The reason for the quality was that the dev team only had to concentrate on one system. I'm just hoping that having to develop for other systems won't affect the quality of their future releases.
However, one good thing to come of this is that they will make more money from sales of their games on other formats. This can only mean higher production values on future releases and therefore better games.

What do others think?

As far as I know, they are currently working on a single new franchise, to be published on the 360 and PS3. You shouldn't be worried about their game quality, because they have stated that their PS exclusives will remain exclusives. The only game that may suffer from this is the multi platform title, due to the 360's limitations compared to the PS3.

Not that worried about it, you won't be seeing Resistance or Ratchet & Clank on the 360 anytime soon unless Sony themselves decides to sell the rights to either series. Will be interesting to see what they come up with for the MP releases.

While Ratchet & Clank didn't really do anything for me, I am looking forward to Resistance 3. Hope they learned their lessons and give us a quality sci-fi shooter that at least is on a par with Killzone. Resi 2 just seemed so floaty and imprecise. And the multiplayer was too basic and suffered from serious lag. Even on matches with few players, it annoyed me when I would target someone perfectly only empty my entire clip into them before they died, and getting myself shot by people who only have to hit me with a couple of rounds, as well as seeing others standing still doing what seemed like nothing.
Sure my broadband connection isn't great, but it copes perfectly with all the CoD games and Killzone.

They are really good devs. I think they still have some contract with Sony and will make at least one more exclusive game probably Resistance3. They are with EA from some new franchise but still they are independent and their game will be really good I think

They own the New IP, not EA so its all good for them to make some good money...... to finance Resistance 3 :)
