So many FPSs!?

So I figure I'm due for a new game (this doesn't happen very often).
This fall, there are 5 FPS games that interest me:

Resistance 3 - loved R1, good reviews, non-regen health have me leaning towards this one
Crysis - Crysis on consoles!
Modern Warfare 3 - basically MW2 expansion pack, but I have tons of fun with COD games
Battlefield 3 - played BC2... didn't to it for me
Rage - looks amazing, finally something different

I realize that if I get anything besides MW3 or BF3, the online will be dead within 4 months, which is a damn shame. But I am soooo tired of 'modern' shooters.

I should probably just rent them all one weekend (besides Crysis of course) and decide that way... but does anyone have any insight, opinions, recommendations, secret classified information? What will you be getting?
 
I voted for BF3 because I'm having so much fun in the Beta, but Black Ops is a very good choice as well if you have a bit of interest in Zombies. I've got all the map packs and I'd have to say Rezurrection is the best. Survival mode in MW3 isn't gonna be as good because it's only 2 player. And I doubt there's gonna be any awesome Easter Eggs :p
 
Resistance 3 - Heard good things about the campaign. Seems that the general view of the multiplayer is that it's decent but nothing special.

Crysis - No multiplayer.

MW3 - On one hand you say you enjoy CoD games so you should enjoy MW3 since it will be more of the same. But on the other hand you say you're tired of modern shooters.

BF3 - If BC2 didn't do it for you then I don't know if BF3 will. After spending some time with the Beta I find it plays very similar to BC2.

Rage - Looks like an interesting game. If you're a fan of games like Fallout and Borderlands then you'll probably enjoy it. However if it's multiplayer you're after I was reading that the only multiplayer modes it has are Co-Op missions and vehicle combat where you fight for points around the map while killing opponents.

Anyways, you meant Crysis 2? Because you should defninitely not get Crysis over the others. It is a celebrated game for its systemcrushing requirements. Whether that is due to bad programming or whatever I won't go into. But it is old and it feels old and it really isn't anything special.

BF3 and MW3 are what those are.

I love first Resistance too. It is better and more solid than Resistance 3 which has better graphics and cooler weapons due to graphics. But story and feel is worse in R3. Still, it's a really good game but doesn't carry the weight of FoM and it is not the mastergame Killzone 3 is.

So, yeah, go with Rage.

I seems from your thread you don't like BF3 that much. Then MW3 is the same : modern warfare.

Resistance 3 is really cool. I'm nearly finished but it was a tad to short.

So RAGE : created by the godfather of Egoshooters, idsoft, massive maps, massive single player.


Well that would be my choice for YOU.

My choice for me is simple : ALL ;) (except Crysis (have it) and MW3)
 
And no, no Syndicate because it is a travesty to mankind that they turn a classic into just another FPS! ... phew.

Thanks guys... BTW, RO2 looks pretty interesting as well.
