So, the engine noises, are they good, or are they still crap like before?

I realy hope they get the vtec switchover right on the full version, this has annoyed me for some time. I also hope that you will see/"feel" a change in the acceleration as well.

I like it, a lot. Probably would be better if you were standing in the room, don't most vid hosting sites compress sound?

I don't think any sim really captures the vtec switchover point that you hear in Honda's vehicles. How does forza 2's ITR sound compared to the ITR in GT5:P, anyone know?

I have compared them before actually; Forza 2's DC5-R i-vtec sounds like a joke compared to GT5. Even GT4 had a closer vtec sounding feel than Forza 2s attempt. The only other car I compared was the Mazda RX-8 iirc, GT4 had better rotary whistle than Forza 2. I'm sure the other cars in Forza sounds great but I only tested these two cars cos my brother and a friend owns them.
 
PD has never been able to get real sounds in modifications, superchargers, turbos, wastegate, bov's, exhuasts, nothing ever sounds like it should... even in gt5p the mustang sounds muscle in the low revs but as you get higher it doesnt sound like it does in real life
