GeigerCars has unveiled a customized Chevy Corvette called the SC 524 Kompressor. The tuner takes a standard Corvette C6 and boosts output via a supercharged V8 to 524 hp with peak torque of 637 Nm. The car hits 62 mph in 3.7 seconds from rest and has a top speed of 202 mph. The car has 20 inch GeigerCars chrome rims, and is lowered by over two inches. The kit is only available in Europe, and costs 23,371 euros, including installation. Images after the jump…

...I want to know what transmission they used to get to 202MPH. Its probably the T56, but I'm wondering if the 6L80E could do the same when modified...?

Rims aren't bad, but i'd rather see it in a hard top. I just can't see going 202 MPH without seriously messing up my hair do.

If you are the sort of person that worries about his hair do.....

Then you are not the sort of person that should drive a 200mph convertable Vette!

Looks very cool. The chin spoiler makes me think Ferrari 575M.

However, anyone think that they could have done a better job with the exhausts? The rest of the car polished to perfect, shiny chrome wheels and then dirty old mufflers?
What sort of Germans built this car?

I take issue with those hood vents. I see the same kind stuck on taxicabs in Boston all the time...

Why do the headlights have color? those wheels are hideous, the car's front looks allot like a louts Ellise for some reason. It seems to me the focused on the engine more than the exterior .

As the 2006 Corvette Z06 arrived in dealers, Geiger Cars of Germany prepared a tuning program for the top-of-the-line American sports car.

To achieve a power increase from standard 512 hp / 377 kW to 542 hp / 389 kW there is Geiger's STAGE 1 performance kit. The tune-up contains a free-flow intake air guiding with sport air filter, special exhaust manifolds, steel bed catalysts, four large chrome exhaust tips and a special mapping for the ECU. The engine tuning makes the Corvette Z06 even more agile and doesn’t only convince with quicker revving up but also with higher road
performances: The sprint time from 0 – 60 mph is reduced to about 3.6 seconds, maximum speed is increased to about 202 mph.

Many other special Geiger customizing components for the fastest production Corvette ever are also available. The designers of Europe’s leading customizer of American cars developed a front spoiler edge to fit on the standard apron. The bodystyling not only makes the front view more aggressive: The lift on the front axle is further reduced. Its aerodynamic counterpiece is a diffuser to fit on the rear apron.

To be able to always safely control the outstanding road performances of the tuned Z06, Geiger offers a high performance brake system. Geiger also offers suspension tuning for the new Corvette Z06. They designed a custom spring strut sport suspension, which replaces the standard transverse springs to achieve an even more dynamic handling.

To perfectly fill the existing space inside the wider Z06 wheel houses, Geiger technicians developed an equally spectacular and exclusive wheel/tire combination. The multipiece chrome wheels were designed in the dimensions 10.5Jx19 front with 285/30 ZR 19 tires and 13Jx20 rear with 345/25 ZR 20 tires.

Of course Geiger also offers exclusive interior appointments for the cockpit from carbon fiber panels up to the masterly handcrafted full leather trim in every imaginable color and design.

Geiger not only offers customizing options for the new Corvette Z06 but also fully tuned cars.

Well when it comes to Germans and just being ridiculous in general, here's a thought.

A 4.2L V8 by Audi (RS4) has 420 hp.
A 4.6L V8 by Ford has 231 hp.

If that doesn't show how advanced Germans are when it comes to cars, I don't know what will.

Here we go again.

A RS4 cost how much more then a Mustang?

Dropout.
Haha, true.

Whose bright idea was it to slap a Viper front end onto a Vette? :ouch:
Actually, the front is designed more from a Callaway C12 which is based off a C5 Corvette.

The 4.6 L Ford has 300 hp, not 231. And Audi's 4.2 L has less torque than the 4.6 L. Oh yeah, and you can get the 4.6 L wrapped in a nice Mustang for under $25,000.

my trust always has been and always will be in the germans over any other car maunfacturer. great job on the C6. looks amazing. and im sure it rides and runs that way too :)

A 4.2L V8 by Audi (RS4) has 420 hp.
A 4.6L V8 by Ford has 231 hp.

#1, the Mustang V8 has 300HP
#2, the new Shelby GT500 which will still be cheaper than an RS4, has a 5.4L V8 with 475HP

And if we're to go by misleading numbers...

A 3.5L V6 Jaguar XJ220 has 542HP. Therefore, UK makes best cars ever lolzorz. 💡

To the German Vette I say "sweet". Makes me glad I'm German.

And to the 4.6l Ford V8 comment, the Mustang GT 4.6l has NEVER been 231bhp. The Crown Victoria base model had 224bhp at one time using the 4.6l but I'm not sure why it was less than the Mustang GT...probably due to emissions or something stupid. Again this brings up the point that Americans weren't on the bhp war that the Europeans auto makers were. Most Americans pre-2002 didn't care about bhp--just if the car's comfortable and well priced. NOW it's a different story. Just remember bhp isn't everything, the 300bhp Mustang GT still can compete with some $100,000+ Ferrari's in alot of catagories...it's not a bad car.

*edit*
Just to make sure you are aware I'd still rather have an Audi IF I could afford one. :sly:

That engines 1.2litres larger so I personally wouldnt use it as an example, plus its supercharged.

or maybe FQ400 2.0L 400hp, or maybe GTR Z tune 2.8L 500hp etc.

Turbocharging tends to help alot :)

Anyway back to topic, I am not real fond of this modified Corvette (I don't like convertable for starters), except for the engine maybe. I would prefer a standard Z06 over this I think.

the wheels do NOT look bling.
it DOES look like the new Elise.

as for the "Viper front end"...have you been paying attention to GT4? even the NSX's got rid of popups...they're obsolete tech, now.

consider yourselves lucky if you've even been NEAR one of these...I have yet to sit in the likes of a common c4 vette...or anything foreign besides a burned out Camry:P
