So what exactly do we do with the new suits and helmets?

I've been playing this game since release and I can barely remember a time when I even saw my helmet or suit. It came up when I choose it at the beginning of the game. I've seen it doing replays on the in car shot (maybe once or twice since buying the game). I guess the helmet pictures came up on the B-spec driver screen (which apparently now has an upper body picture). Other than those times do we even see the helmets or suits.

It sounds like overall the update provided some nice features. However, I can't really see what all the energy PD put into suits and helmets is really accomplishing. This particular part of the update is really surprising. I honestly can't remember a single user ever saying they wished there were changes to suits/helmets. I hope this is a one off and we don't see a pattern of updates to parts of the game that users couldn't care less about.

Joking aside, you can take some photos of them for a profile pic, and you see them a bit in replays I guess, oh and you can see the colour of the gloves in cockpit view, that's about it I think..

If they implemented some kind of podium thing where top 3 drivers are shown (in suits and helmets) in a little celebration, then it'd make sense :P would be awesome online and add a bit more feel to the game
 
I took some photos of the F1 2010 Ferrari... my usual grey race suit/helmet looked awful.

Today I put a red overall and Massa-esque helmet on my A-Spec dude and got the photos I was after :D

Actually when you win a race online it shows a picture of your driver on the race results table:sly:
 
I cant believe how people are happy with this update, helmets and suits account for about 1% interest in the game. Bit of a flop if ya ask me and I was so looking forward to bringing GT5 out again after a few months off. Guess all the stuff we want will have to wait til 2020 and the release of GT6... I have a feeling that GT6 and PS4 wont be far away from each other... time will tell

Does this update allow outfit changing? Because I remember an old thread of complaints that we can't change the outfit...

They were for complaints that outfits changed color.:yuck:
