Everything......... i say its the way u control your car....and how far u can push it with out spining out....:) but thats just me and welcome to

the longer the drift the better? what is the best drift on gt3 that you have seen i do tend to probably like most people enjoy a good long drift I just need do them :scared:

Well, when I look at a drift it's all about timing. If someone can perfectly time a multiple faint and then slide down the straight for a few seconds, nail the apex, extend their drift to the end of the turn and then link that to another series of turns that's what makes a drift good.

Good Music.

Example: If Initial D music is in the backround it's not a good drift. 👎

Yes, I fully agree. Now everyone pay close attention to Ethix post... We do not need any more Eurobeat garbage in drift videos....

A good drift is smooth, and well controlled....

Some go for angle, and some go for speed... It just depends on if you enjoy speed drifting, or exhibition drifting....

;)

I suppose it is about control I'm getting a lot better its taken a lot of practice just find that my entry and exits from the drift look a little untidy any hints? :dunce:

A little hint:Sim tyres.... and yes you do need a lot of practice before your drifts looks smooth. For car settings you should look in the Drift Settings Depot.
And welcome to GTP :)

FRom a non-drifters point of view, it would have to be a slow smooth entry, complete control through the length of a long drift, and a very elegant exit.

It's like this: Hockey vs. Ice Skating. Both done on Ice, one is just developed for smooth articulated style, while the other is point A to Point B with traction and brutal speed.

THe drift I'd love to see is the hairpin at Midfield Reverse. From the start, up over the hill, A light drift out to the right, down the hill, moving the rear to the left, as you enter into the tunnel. Slight twitch of the backend to the right while in the tunnel, then hanging the back waaay out around the hairpin. Up the hill and hanging opposite ends as you slip effortlessly through the chicane.

That's 6 drifts linked in one smooth ensemble.

That is quite an easy section to link..... I'm surprised you haven't seen it done before....

I'd say it's smoothly linking turns. Long turns with a good quick transition from one direction to another.

Also, well said.....👍

So has anyone done the Der Alta Midfield Reverse drift? I'd like to see it, if it has already been in someones drift video can you let me know.

I like the drifts from grandorifto 2 vid on the complex string perpendicular corners they were awesome smooth and very controlled can anyone else do them and put them in a vid? I quite liked silviadrifters opening drift on slide with the altezza that was very nice too

I have done the aforementioned link.....

Thankyou, 725..... However, "Slide" is quite old.... I have done much better, smoother drifts since then.... "Countersteer Zero", while not showing any FR drifts, it does showcase AWD drifting at it's finest, as well as being my newest vid....

;)

Will you be showcasing the drifts in a new vid with fr's too?

Yes, a new vid is in the works....

However, you can see some FR drifts in "Monkey Factory" which showcases myself and Battle_Stage....

personally....Consistancy is the best aspect if you can hit every corner with decent angle decent smoke decent and control....it's a better drift than 2 out of 6 corners with great angle and no smoke.....1 corner horrible....1 corner amazing..and2 2 more corners aiight..

What about getting close to the outside of the turn or a particular car? I always like to see some smoke
