Finally got pictures of the beast.

Long story about in-laws, but one of mine owns this car:

Franks FFR Replica01

SO at some point next summer I've been told to come up to VT and he'll let me take it for a spin.

The only stat that I know at the moment, it that in testing it generates 427 ft/lbs of torque and it's been clocked at 133 mph.

A few more pics:

Franks FFR Replica02
Franks FFR Replica03
Franks FFR Replica04

Just making a few of you jealous ahead of time.

Hopefully I'll be back into another '93 RX7.

I'm not a Ford guy, but that's one of the best looking Cobra's I've seen. 👍

Sorry, forgot to mention, it's a Factory Five replica racer. Bought in Massachusetts, assembled and tweaked by Frank (owner) up in Vermont.

(fixed typos)

Factory Fives are very nice. There's a Spec Five racing class. I've said before, if I was rich and looking for a hobby, I'd do a year in Spec Miata road racing, then move up to Spec Five.

nice car der alta...

i've been saving up for 3 years.....i am looking at something along the lines of this....the awesome Evo 8

Yummmmmmmmm! I have always like the AC Cobra's.

As for myself? Well our summer is fast approaching us here. I will still be driving the same car I have for the past two. A 1992 Silver Skyline GTR. As for your summer, well hoping to be a bit more powerful but odds are not until it is paid off. That is when the fun begins. 550 -600 is the goal as it is a street driven car. Just enough to get into heaps of trouble :D

 The Cobra Is GOD!!!!!!

even if it is a replica.....

n.e.way, I hope to get my '85 Chevy 4X4 done this winter so can hit the trails this summer(383SB/Muncie/NP203/Dana60's/38's incase anyone was wondering). And my friend and I should finish work on his '86 Buick Regal this weekend. 383 Chevy SB, 750cfm Holley, 6 Speed Borg Warner, Ford 9" with strange internals, D.O.T. Mickey Thompsons. Oh Yeah Baby!!

well i dont know about summer yet but i get to drive this over christmas break :). My friends dad just bought it and hes gonna let me take it out for a spin.

Edit:thats supposed to be a 1999 911 carrera

By next summer i plan to drive a 500hp+, 10 second drag car.;) If that backfires, i'll sell the thing, and look into a 964 chassis Porsche 911, or an early NSX.

Without a doubt, that ride gets the : Scha-wiinng!

Hopefully by next year I'll have a MX-3 or 1st gen Protege. My dad said that there was a mint '92 MX-3 GS that came in several days ago, the lady was undecided if she was gonna sell it or not. The only thing wrong with it that I know if is that it's black, and I don't really want black(thought I'd take black over white I think). And it's got the rare(well, I have 2 of em) squared key/flame emblems on the hood, wheels, and steering wheel. The ultimate cool to me. :)

FYI: By next summer, I'll either have an RX-8 (Winning Blue, 6MT GT package) unless I somehow talk myself into an Evo 8 (Black, no wing)

Ahh, my fav RX-8 combo! The blue is awsome.

ohh yea, the Cobra is cool. I've seen several, some real and some replicas.

A 2002 BMW M5, and a 1997 Toyota Avalon XLS.

The Avalon is much cooler than any Cobra replica could ever be.

This summer coming up I'll be driving the amazing 1987 Ford Laser.

Next summer in 20 years I'll be driving a Cobra for sure.

Or a twin turboed VY Commodore, hmmmmm.

Is it pretty fast?

It's actually super slow. The slowest thing I've ever driven.

Of course, that still makes it faster than, say, a 1987 Ford Laser.

Twenty years my ass.

Massive muffler on an auto? :yuck:

But it does actually have a bit of pep when it downchanges. It forces your head into the headrest (only slightly though :p) but it chews through fuel like you wouldn't beleive when you do that (:()

Sorry Der Alta I'm gonna piss on your fire :p !! Nice replica though. One thing missing IMO - the halibrand wheels.
This is my old mans as some of you may of seen me rabbiting on about before. Not quite as big engine but still quick enough to scare the pants off of you.
My dad says that when I pass my test and if my next door neighbour can manage to get us a little time at an airfield (it helps with him being the head of the local traffic deparment for the sussex (south east of englandish), he'll let me drive her next year, only if he thinks I'm a capable enough driver :D . Anywayz here ya go.
3.5 litre V8 - supercharged (Rover V8)
900 kg
300+ BHP (not quite sure on precise figures)
300 ft/lbs torque
Southern Road Craft Kit
For some reason it has linked the whole address, so if you can be bothered just select and copy the add into the browser and paste.

Next summer I'll have my drivers license (hopefully!) That means I'll be driving my Dad's '95 Subaru Legacy Wagon (He's giving it to me when he gets a new one.) or my Mom's Honda Odyssey. (belive it or not, It's cooler than the Subaru.)
