A few days ago, my files got corrupted and I had to start over.

So this time around, I decided to get all my licenses in gold before I begin A-Spec.

I was disappointed to see that there was not a reward for completing every license in Gold. I don't even think I got a trophy for it. Last time I played GT was back in GT2, and there was a reward for getting all gold in license tests.

Wonder why no reward was given this time.

What? You win a car for every license trophy you can get (bronze, silver and gold). That's 3 cars for every license you fully gold. 6 licenses means 18 cars.
 
He's talking about getting a trophy for having every license in gold, not just when you get your IA all gold or IB all gold. He means A,B,IA,IB,Special all in gold and there is no reward, yep life is cruel.
 
There is a reward at the end, if you manage to gold everything else in the game.
 
Yeah, once I read there isn't really any reason to get golds (aside from being able to say you did) I stopped. Bummer.

I get what he's saying now, but is the OP sure he got a reward for all golds in the licenses in previous games? It seems a bit redundant. You get rewards for each individual license. You want another reward again for having all of them after getting rewards for each one? I think 18 cars and 6 online trophies is an ok reward.
 
Well, it has been over 10 years since I have played Gran Turismo 2... and in 2, I remember getting a fast Rally car with 1k horsepower when I got all gold in the licenses.. I forget if I got a car every license.


But in GT5, there really was no point in getting a gold trophy in every test because the only worth a damn cars was from the S license, and the S license is ironically the easiest license to get.

Wouldn't of had to be a fast car to be rewarded, but some along the lines of a fast car like a Ferrari, but be a "special" design premium only obtainable by completing all the tests in gold.
 
The licenses in GT5 are easy though, they made them even more easier with one of the updates.

I think that the GT Academy GT-R that you get from completing the S license on gold is a good enough prize. It's a unique car that cannot be bought from the dealership.
 
Yes, the GTR Academy was a nice reward. But I could have received that by just completing S license in Gold. S License was the easiest of all the test..

I just think a small special reward should have been given. A academy car like the GT-R.. Honestly, I think that should have been the reward for completing all the licenses in gold, and something else should have been given for completing S license only in gold. Something like a ferrari or lambo. Something other than a Japanese car because majority of the rewards from the licenses were mostly Japan, 1 UK, a few USA cars.

OR even something more simple, like a changeable racing uniform. A special avatar, a special background wall paper. I don't even think I got a trophy (lol)
 
a bit absurd tbh, i think getting all gold on licenses and special events should get better reward. it's the hardest part of the game and you don't get much for all this hard work. deserves at least a reallly special car as a prize
 
If you got all golds in your last gamesave you wouldn't get a trophy this time round as you already have it, trophies are linked to your PSN name not your game save.
 
I agree, they had an epic prize reward system in GT4...

Now I get a caterham fireblade for beating the Formula GT championship that took me almost 3 hours to complete. Must be because of the PS3's limited hardware...

I doubt they spent more than 20 minutes and a sushi bar napkin drawing up the reward system in GT5.
