Sold Out UCD Cars When I Dont Even Own Them?

I just started an alternate account since ive pretty much done everything on my main account. I shared all of the necessary cars for the seasonals so i could level up quickly. After doing a bunch of races and reaching level 15 with Cr.500,000 I went to the UCD to see what toys were there for me to purchase. I immediately noticed a bunch of the cars were 'Sold Out', I thought it was wierd since i didnt own them already, not on this account, OR my main account. I was a high enough level, and had more then enough Cr. to purchase them but it wouldnt let me, i only had 4 cars when i checked the UCD, My first civic, The Schick Camaro, PDi Racing Kart, and the car i was borrowing (Isuzu 4200R). Whats up with this ? I really wanted the dam M.N.P Skyline but i cant get it. Anyone else experience something like this and is there a way to actually buy the cars when theyre 'Sold Out'?
 
seriously ? i havent noticed it on my main account yet ? and i check the ucd every 3 races, the only time it tells me a car is sold out usually is if ive bought it that cycle of the UCD.

They implemented this in one of the updates.

It makes sense as a real UCD would have cars sold out.

It should only say SOLD OUT if you bought it. Not sure why it's doing that to you.

It only did it once or twice for me but it's definitely a feature that they've implemented.

I only missed out on Skylines and Honda S2000s so I didn't really mind it.
 
it is strange. i had this happened to me to a couple cars right after i installed update 1.06. I haven't had the problem since and i have seen the same cars come up and they weren't listed as being sold out
 
I never noticed this after the last update and it's monumentally stupid if it is actually a feature.

"Hey, want this car that you've been waiting for for weeks? Well even though you're the only customer for this dealership, you can't have it. It's already sold."

Dumb. The UCD has enough problems without another one.
 
Its already hard enough to find the cars you want from the ucd so i doubt pd would make it any harder
 
I have never seen a sold out car in the UCD unless I purchase a car a go back to the UCD before it updates. I check it every time I get back to the main menu in GT5.
 
I've never had it happen, they only say 'Sold Out' if I've bought the car. The game needn't implement selling the cars to other people because they only stay in there for a short amount of time.
 
Actually I've noticed this strange "feature" about one month ago, but I must admit that UCD report to me as "sold out" only cars I've already bought. Checked this thing at least 20/25 times, I often buy cars from my UCD and in my case I haven't got any sort of problem. I made one test, just for my curiosity... I've bought some time ago one Citroen 2CV (early february) and today that car appeared again in my UCD. It's grayed, so reported as sold out... After a backup save, I proceeded to sell my car and... Voilà, still sold out.

Maybe sold out cars = cars you already had a chance to buy (or you bought then sold/removed)???

That game is however strange... I reloaded my backupped savegame and now that 2CV appear as ready to buy. I'm done with PD, surely I can't follow them in their software design... From glitches to poor prizes, thru absurd long-term gameplay and now weird dealership... Maybe we need a whole new revised Granturismo 5 user manual, who knows... Just for sake of clarifications lol!
