This has to be where it's all headed. All they need to do is make it bigger and cheaper... the rest will take care of itself. They can build bandwidth that far exceeds current HDDs, so that won't be a bottleneck.

Pretty sweet if you ask me.

That's pretty cool. They should make a computer using those drives and MRAM. It would be costly, but I would like to see how it compares to our conventional computers.

As cool as a flash memory HDD (well, it wouldn't really be a HDD would it?) sounds, I think the industry is more interested in optical storage - like making absurdly massive holographic discs that will take a year to burn...

But if they ever do make a flash memory drive that is big enough to replace my trusty magnetic platters (~250GB) and is cheap enough, I'll be first inline to get one. 👍

A 32GB would be enough to hold Windows and be used as a supplement to a larger drive wouldn't it? It's really just a matter of the prices becoming affordable first.
