The guy didn't even know what they were! That's friggin' hilarious!

Those are beauts. Too bad about the funky wing though.

Porsche's US Proving Ground is in California, apparently you can see a lot of covered up Porsches around the area.

Doesn't look that good in yellow, but it's still ages better looking than what Maranello has to offer in the über supercar territory. Send a black one my way, please. :)

Yuck. Same for the 360 Modena, the Enzo, the 456 GT, the 355, the 348, the F50, and pretty much everything to ever come out of Ferrari's doors, save maybe the F40.

The Carrera GT's a work of art. Best looking supercar ever, if you ask me.

Well, 360 Modena's arent that bad. One of the editors of EuroTuner Magazine is the co-driver in a modified 360Modena in this years Gumball 3000. If you want the small article I can type it up for you guys.

Oh and here is something like that.

Me and my uncle have competed in this 2 times. Lots of fun.

You know there isnt much of a difference between the Concept Carerra and the production model. The interior is slightly different. They went with traditional guages instead of the lcd screen since they couldnt find anyone with a screen that could do all that they wanted...

Somebody around my area has a Lamborghini Murcielago, i followed it for about 15 mins on the way to work the other week it sounds so amazing. Before gorge harrison died i used to see him in his Mclaren F1 every so often he only used to live about 15 mins from me. See TVRs almost daily, and their must be atleast 10 different ferraries nocking around the place, i live in a sweet place for spotting awsome cars. Although a Carrera would be an awsome car too see.

The cars are probably pre-production mules that have had stuff put on them to mislead motoring hacks (think about the pr-prod. Enzo). On the silver car you can see the thick black tape along the bumper shutlines. The plates are probably an in-house joke by Porsche. Great find BTW!

You know, it's kind of funny how some people just happen to always have their camera with them..

I always keep a camera in my car for stuff like this. It's usually just a disposable camera, but it gets the job done.

I wish I had, last year evry day for one week a line of Jaguar S-Types past me on the other side of the road amongst them was always a black pre-production test mule with different pieces on it every day. I guess it was the prototype 'R' version.

Wow, thanks for sharing that sighting with us... It's funny how just pictures of cars on the road of what someone else actually saw, of something that they can't own can give us such feelings...of satisfaction....oh and envy as well. Sweet rides for sure!!!!

I love how the guy saw at least three of them, and had no idea what he was looking at.

If I didn't know, after seeing the first one, I'd look it up!

And you should - most European companies, most notably Saab and Volvo - ship their cars to distribution facilities in Savannah, Georgia, which is not too far from you. Furthermore BMW is located in Spartanburg - never know what you might see from them.

I'd look it up!

On your drive to work? :odd:

Oh and - these Porsches look ugly as hell. Seriously ugly. What a crapload, I'd eat my face before using one. To be fair I've seen shots of them with their tops off/down and they look pretty good.

Not at all. I despise Ferraris. I hate them with a passion. I wish they'd all burn down a huge, fiery hole. And that includes the ****heads directing the F1 team.
