Oh man...you serioius....the Audi Nuvolari Quattro?

I know!!! how can you get rid of cars that you win only once? It's nice to keep them in your collection "garage" plus I don't think they are bad at all, maybe they are not as good as a Nissan 92CP or the Toyota 88CV but sure they are fun to ride...O well I keep all the cars that I win, even if I can buy them again or if they are concept cars, I don't know it's just me.

No, its not just you, me too! I keep every single car I get. :)

i rather have a small garage with little ammount of cars. only cars i need. like my mitsubishi for rallying. my other cars for racing.

Taking photos....

I like to use some cars for taking photos. Actually, Ive only used the Mitsu HSR-II Concept to take pictures.

Some people have artistic talent at photomode, the people who doesn't, of course they don't like it...

Me??? 75% artistic talent at the track (racing with style):sly:
25% at Photomode

Ciao...

i dont take photos. i find it stupid. i play the game to get the best car. and own them all

Oh....

I try to take more photos but my busy schedules not been allowing me for the past few days.

i can take a photo a goddamn good one if i want. but the thing is. i find it a waste of time. i'd rather be 'racing' an endurance race

So you and I are on each end of scale then... I have every single car in GT4 in my garage, and I have photos of them all too! :)

Just sort the cars you have by name.

I always do this and I have 194 cars, which isnt many. Finds the car Im looking for every time.

i got 1 and a half pages in the garage of my cars. im like 31% done and have won all the easy and normal rally races. all the easy halls. a few endurance. all professional hall except 1. and a few others. and i have 1 and a half pages of cars in the garage. and a few of them are temporary untill i beat their manufacturers races

Sorry, off topic, what car would that be and how noticeable is the improvement? I most likely own that car and I like to keep all my vehicles perfectly tuned.

I see this has been answered already, but to be sure: The FGT is the Formula Gran Turismo car. It is won in the Nurburgring 24 hour endurance race (and at 100%) and it looks a lot like a Formula 1 car. I can't tell you how much difference changing the rear toe made to the handling because I can't drive this car fast enough to notice the difference, but it makes a huge improvement to the rear tyre wear rate and is worth the change for this alone, esp. if you let b-spec Bob anywhere near it.

isnt it hard finding a car you want to find? annoying even?
Not at all. I have more than 70 pages of cars in my garage, and if I want any particular car I just go to the manufacturers list and get it.

ha, i was put up against class c racers on the ring...but youre right, a lm racer would be fine too

No you weren't, not in either of the Nurb' endurance races. :sly:
A complete list of all the possible AI entrants for both races can be found here!

Not in either race does a single group C car appear, the closest you'll see is the Chapparal 2D '67 which occasionally appears in the 24hr lineup.
I'd wager that you're thinking of racing something on the Nurburgring in a different race series....;)

@ damianb Firstly, please try to find your "shift" key. Capital letters at the beginning of sentences and when you're using "I" make your posts much easier to read and understand. :sly: Read this, especially the 3rd from last bullet point. ;)

Secondly, for El Capitan 200 miles, look here in post #1 ----> Endurance Races section there's a list of at least 13 different stock cars that have been used to win this race for 200 A-spec points. Hope you find something you can add to the list. 👍 Has to remain stock though, nothing more than an oil change and S1 tyres (if necessary)can be added for this race.
That is, if you are, as you say, looking for a real endurance race and not just to drive around the track for 200 miles cursing at the slow back markers that are getting in the way of your massively-overpowered, single-digit A-spec point grabbing ride, as some of the folks here are suggesting you use! ;)
Cadillac Cien for El Capitan 200 miles? Talk about no-fun overkill!!! :yuck:

I have found the chapperal to be a pretty crap car. so even if it is in it. not really a challenge. lol.

What is a car that would get me like 20-50 A-spec points for the Nurb 24 hour?

I have found the chapperal to be a pretty crap car. so even if it is in it. not really a challenge. lol.

If you've not won Nurb' 4hr yet, you haven't won the Chapparal 2D Race Car '67 to know if it's crap or not. :sly:
Actually, I rather like it, it was good for 159 A-spec points in stock form at all 5 of the All American Championship races in the American Hall.

If you've raced against it in other places, e.g. GTWC it's probably been the lowest powered car in the field and therefore appeared poor. :dopey:

If it appears in the Nurb' 24hr lineup, it's by far the quickest car out of all the possible AI rides, and is certainly the one to beat, hence it looks far from "crap" in the company it keeps here. One to be wary of.....:scared:

The points for the Nurb' 24hr are very dependant on which cars are in the AI lineup, if you get a field with mostly JGTC GT300 class cars (e.g. Cusco Subaru Impreza) you'll get lower points than a field of mostly DTM cars (e.g. Audi A4 DTM) and the points will be highest when the Chapparal 2D '67 is in the lineup. By entering/exiting the race (without actually starting it) you can preview many different lineups until you find one with opposition that suits the car that you're entering with.
Also look out for the Spoon S2000 Race car, as the least powerful AI ride, this will have an effect on lowering the A-spec points on offer.

Hope this helps.

its pretty heavy aswell isnt it?

Forgot those capitals & punctuation again! :sly:

Pretty heavy compared to what?
At 771kg the Chapparal certainly is heavy compared to, say, a 454kg Ginetta G4 or a 639kg Lotus Elan S1.
But compared to most LeMans cars at 850 - 1000kg, JGTC cars at 1000 - 1100kg and most road cars from the Opel Speedster at 850kg to the whoppingly heavy Aston Martin Vantage and Mercedes SLR McLaren, which are around 2 tonnes, it's a relative featherweight.

3 gears...no nitro....what kind of a car is that though? Ive vowed to myself not to drive that thing ever again.

Your loss I suppose. :dopey:
So you don't drive any car you can't put nitro on? Is that it?
Or are you such a bad driver that you have to rely on Nitrous and other overwhelming methods of power increase to win races? :sly:
Take the 2D to the American Hall, in completely unmodified form, enter the American All Stars Championship, and enter against the following lineup as instructed:-

Chevrolet Camaro LM Race Car '01
Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II '04
Chevrolet Corvette C5R (C5) '00
Panoz Esperante GTR-1 Race Car '98
Dodge Viper GTS-R Team Oreca '00

How I got to this lineup:-
After console reset;
Enter Special conditions hall Umbria Rally Normal, and exit.
Enter All American Championship and abandon championship before starting race 1.
Enter All American Championship again. This is the 2nd lineup.

It's tremendous fun, close racing and 159 A-spec points per race! It's exactly what this car was included for!
Just don't race any lineup with the 2J in it, as it'll wipe the floor with everything else!

win el capitan 200 miles with your zonda & with the minolta toyota that you win, you can win 4 & 24 h of nurburgring:dopey:

Smalllhorses. I cant imagine how terrible you would go in most other forums. lol. I dont come here for school. i dont spell like a ****ing retard. so why should it matter for capital letters?? really? some poeple just take it past being readable.

And i thought it was a bit heavier. i dont have my gt4 game atm so i couldnt check

Smalllhorses. I cant imagine how terrible you would go in most other forums. lol. I dont come here for school. i dont spell like a ****ing retard.

I choose to frequent forums where the vast majority of the users can type proper English, (even the non-native English speakers at GT Planet do a fabulous job of making coherent posts) not forums populated by "txt slng" teens. :sly:

What do cant & dont mean then?
If that's not retarded spelling, I don't know what is! Can't imagine! :sly:

Er, did you read the AUP link I sent you? :sly:

Acceptable Use Policy
No slang words that promote laziness, ie; "r", "u", "plz", etc. will be tolerated. Decent grammar is expected, including proper usage of capital letters. Repeated violations will be grounds for suspension and/or permanent removal from the forums.

Rules are rules, and are there to be followed.
There's even a clear statement there of what will happen if you continue to violate the rules.
Or do I have to draw you a picture?:sly:

Please bear in mind this is a very large international forum, with members of all ages, sometimes it's hard for native English speakers to make sense of a post that is a continuous stream of uncapitalised, unpunctuated words, nevermind how much of a struggle it can be for them. The AUP doesn't ask that you post in this fashion to be an inconvenience for you or to slow you down, but it's there to make sure you post in the most coherent form for everybody's benefit. 👍

Learn from it, accept it and move on. :)

Hmm.....

No nitro isnt the problem; the 3 gears absolutely appalls (spelling?) me  I mean, what the hell is that?

Thanks for some help on the American Championship though (thats the one where you win Camaro LM Race Car right?), I've had so much trouble with this even though Im in a Cadillac Cien. Just cant seem to beat the 2J.....what happens if I B-Spec the race, would I still win with a turbocharged 2D?

+rep for you Smallhorse for explaining the AUP. Good job! 👍
