Some ideas for the next seasonal events...

Perhaps there could be a Historic Le Mans race? The cars eligible would be the XJR-9, 787B, Minolta, R89C/R92CP, 905 and Sauber. This could be (in a way) equivalent to the Historic Race Car Cup. It'd just be awesome to see all those great cars face off against each other.

An LM Race would be pretty cool, too. The cars would be like the RX-7 LM, FTO LM, Impreza LM, Camaro LM, Zonda LM, etc. Again, it'd just be nice to see these cars put to use.

What do you guys think?

The problem with your plan is that seasonals require the purchase of a car from the dealership (unless you already own it) - some of the cars you mention are only available used (which could be available via the OCD), but they cost Cr3m+ which may be unrealistic for many users to go and buy (despite the credit haul from previous seasonals).

I see nothing wrong with cheap cars being used, I just wish the tracks were more varied and in that respect, I agree that a Le Mans event would be nice.

I'd also like the return of the restrictions, but that's another story...

Well, I could see the money issue, so I was thinking maybe they could be integrated into a future version of the game. The Historic Race Car Cup demands millions of dollars unless you get the GT40 or XJ13 from the endurances. The LM Race could just be an optional event after you complete the whole game, or it could possibly be organized online via a room in which the host keeps track of points totals and gives a prize car to the winner. So, we don't technically need an event creator!

Maybe a 90's battle, driving a Lancia Delta Integrale against Honda NSX, RX-7, R32, Lancer Evo IV, Evo VI, Civic T R, Elise, R33... more clues PD? :dopey:

There will be a race at indy/daytona with an american car.

A race at Monza/Nurburgring, with an italian/german car.

And one at tuksuba with a flipping Mazda.....

You heard it here first.

They don't. That's what the online collector's dealership is there for. A fixed "UCD" car list :)

I'd want to see a race for the older cars that aren't good enough to win at historic or nostalgia cups. Well, entry with one, race against newer rides.

One B-Spec race (like signature event)
A race with a provided car (like in Grand Tour or licenses).
Race or Time trial on a custom track (like GT academy 2011).
A race on Suzuka through the chicane in 200R (or through the chicane at Tsukuba)
A race on a new track of CapeRing, eg. Inside part at North and outside part at South.

I just really hope we get a time trial on the Nordschleife soon!

The downside of having Le Mans races in games is twofold:

1) Sarthe is the most boring track ever. Weigh down your accelerator, go pick your nose for 5 minutes. Turn a tiny bit. Put the brick back on pedal. Win race. Collect money and prostitutes, pats on back etc etc.

2) It would require people to sell all of their wordly posessions to actually buy one of the cars which alot of us wont use again because they are insipid boring cars with no real character and the ability to go from 0 to 40000 MPH in the blink of an eye.

I would love to race a historic le mans race, but then I want to drive a Porsche 917, which isn't in the game :(

I liked the obscurity of the Schwimmwagen so something out of the ordinary would be good, although with the favour of premiums in the seasonals they're fast running out of 'different' cars.

By the sound of things delivering the next seasonal on time would be nice too.

The haul from every seasonal is enough to cover the cost of the vehicle required plus almost maximum tuning, so the argument against using multi-million vehicles on the basis of cost is moot.

The high level races often require more expensive cars, and as such it's not unreasonable for them to expect you to be in a situation where you have a bit of spare change. If you win, you get your outlay back, plus the Exp, plus you have a new car; if you don't want to keep it, trade it to someone who hasn't done the race yet! I have forwarded a couple to my mule so they can expand their range of available vehicles and available credits.

As for putting the cars in the OCD, well the Corvette race showed that PD isn't adverse to giving us easy access to a whole range of vehicles for an optional event.

I'd love a Ferrari F1 seasonal event around the full Nurburgring ,also think of the prize money for that! :o

With all of the opinions recently about the new Seasonals, I thought I would continue this thread...So here we go.

*City Races*

Rome - Italian cars only
Circuito de Madrid - European cars only
Tokyo R246 - Japanese cars only
London - British cars only
Special Stage Route 5 - American cars only

*GT300*

World Circuit tracks

*NASCAR*

North American World Circuit tracks

*German Manufacturer Challenge*

Various Nurburgring tracks with BMW, Audi, etc.

Oh yes. Historic cup in fact. Le Mans, The Ring, Spa

Everyone has very good ideas in this thread, i wish just the same... a fresh breeze of events... it all comes down to being original in composing them.

For example:

-A LMP racecar event 10 laps at le mans, at night.
-3 laps on the nordshleiffe with european sportscars 400-650HP, at 6 AM in the morning sun coming up over the trees.
-And indeed a 10 lap historic race at Spa with changing weather...

PD the tools are already there, listen! and implement them!!

I like the idea of an Historic race. The cost of the cars is easily made from the existing Seasonals. I'm making over 1m credits from a B Spec 650pp race in B spec 2. Even coming 4th makes decent money if you are on 200%. In A spec 650pp 1, 2 and 3 a 2nd or 3rd place is worth 500 000 or so. Wins are in the 800 000 credit area for all of them, If you haven't the cars for 650pp, the 500pp offer nearly as much per hour and they are winnable with a stock car on RS tyres.

In the last few gaming days I've bought nearly 100 cars including several at 4m+. Seriously credits are not really an issue.

I love the idea of a historic LM Seasonal.

Okay, the LM cars are not that extremely expensive. With the seasonals we've been seeing with the profits that we're making, I'm pretty sure everyone out there has more cash than they know what to do with. 4 million here, 5 million there really isn't a big deal anymore.

Driving the old brutes is always a good time, and we really have had no reason to do so thus far.

LE MANS BORING???

I want to see a multiplayer seasonal. Keeping the same sort of format they use but every car on track is driven by another driver somewhere in the world :)

JGTC online seasonal
LMP online seasonal
PP limited online seasonal
etc

Same here. In fact when seasonals first came about I thought they would be online. For me this is only way that PD can make seasonals MUCH better.

Leaving seasonals as they are and just changing the theme of the event is still gonna leave you racing the rubbish A.I.
