some more news on GT4

Hi all I am new I have played all the GT's and I love the 2nd one the most.

I have a DVD with an interview of the makers of GT4. I know what some of the things that will get going into it.

They hope to have:

Penalising system for wall riders
Movies before big races, to bring the feel of a race day alive.
Fully customisable paint job.
Advanced tuning so that you need to read books in GT4 so find out how the get the best out of the car.

They say they will have:

Driver’s selection
Driving off of cliffs
700+ cars
More realistic cars
Car performance and price that really reflect the value for money of the real car.

I also think that they mentioned that they will have body kits and other things on the game. (hope so)

I will watch it again and tell you of anything else that I notice them say.

May I ask how you got a hold of this DVD?
 
I buy a mag that in the UK is well know for been ahead of the rest and it was free on the front. Nothing special I didn’t break into GT head quarters and nick it. Well that’s what I tell the cops. :rolleyes:

It was just a 10minute interview from 2 guys from the company that make gt. they were talking about what they hope GT4 will be like.

Could you rip the interview off the dvd? and which magazine is it?
 
it shouldn't be a problem(dependent on the length of the clip) once u know the technique, try this site and we hope to see the interview soon.

Driving off the side of the grand canyon would be COOOOL especially in the escudo teeeheheee
 
If you can drive off cliffs...maybe you can flip cars too?
 
If they should make a penalising system for colliding, they should drastically improve the AI.
 
I wonder what happens AFTER you fall off the cliff. :odd: Do you automatically lose? What does PSW stand for? Did they say what the penalty would be? Sorry for all of the questions. :)
 
There should be a bonus for driving all 500 Lancer models into the Grand Canyon. The bonus would be a new Lancer, of course. :lol:
 
Yeah, PSW (PlayStation World) is in the UK and i was thinking of getting it after noticing it had GT4 footage on the DVD. I expect what that guy said is true.

If you have seen the GT4 vids, it looks like it is possible to go into the Grand Canyon as there are parts where there are no walls....and invisible walls would just be stupid!

Bull****. :irked: PD ALREADY announced 500 cars, not 700. 500 is the official number of cars. No questions asked. 500 cars, PERIOD. Sorry, but I'm trying to put an end to some of these rumors. :mad: :p

I thought that they hadn't actually said a number?!?

The only thing i think they may have said was 500+......which could mean anything.

Yeah, but if it were 700+ cars, they would say 700+ cars. :p
 
I don't think PD was exctly sure how many cars they were going to get into the game, so they just said 500+. All I can say is, wait until we get a carlist from PD, or wait until the game comes out ;)

I know that I would look stupid but all I'm saying is that the "Rumored carlist" says that there would be 778 cars. AND YET PD DID NOT ANNOUNCE THOSE CARS THAT WERE ON THE 'rumored car list'. We will be really lucky if Lamborghini and Porche will be in the game. I'm looking at some reliable sources. I'm not saying 700 + cars are not possible, but I hope there will be, though. But then again, I will look stupid. :D So don't count on 700+ cars. Just count on 500+ cars. :p
 
Personally i'm wandering who gives a t*ss at whether there's over 500 or 700 cars! I'm going to be a very happy, content man with just 500+ cars :D :p. Okay some of the cars we'd like to see won't get in but we don't live in a perfect world so I'm just going to be happy with what ever what happens. UNLESS they put under 500 cars in then there's going to be some trouble :trouble: . But then again more the merrier with the cars! 👍
 
Falling off the cliff? That is lame. That's going to be like all of those other rally games where you go off the track and then the screne fades and you appear on the track. It better not have "off track" crap, and Driver's Selection? What is that?
 
Wont be lame if you fall off and thats it, race over. Would be cool to see the car smash to bits as it plumets down the side and then explodes in a huge fireball at the bottom. I suppose i can always dream. :rolleyes:
 
This is from an interview with Kazunori Yamauchi on the computer and video games site:

If the driver messes up and misses the course, we might show the car jumping off the cliff, but we won't show it falling into pieces at the bottom. We're still considering that and we don't know how far we can go with it.

It is anybody's guess how many cars will be in GT4, so I guess 623.:D
