Some Questions About The X1

Have seen a cockpit cam in the rain with the X1, all the air rushing past throws the rain off the windscreen, and the visability is only just less than in any other car. It's a nice feature and really cool to watch.

Think so yeah, not sure if they actually remove a wheel through it and put the new one on though. Was pretty late when I took this picture so didn't really check what all happened. Will try to take some more screens later, having some fun drifting right now.

The second X1's front left looks like it's sticking out slightly, out of all the aero parts.
 
One thing that I noticed when i got Bob to race in the rain at Tsukuba in the X1 was that when the pit crew drops down the lolipops, it clips through the screen and into the cockpit, came so close it almost feels like he was hitting Bob's head with it. I lol-ed.

Don't really see what you mean, looks normal to me. They have some damage though, they crashed on the big jump track someone here made. They had to pit to fix the mechanical damage I guess, but tyres always get changed as well.

Anyway, more pics as promised. As you can see the tyres just go through the panels and the panels are pretty much floating there. Maybe better pit stops in GT6? :p

Bit silly though how they showed everything in the old GT trailers, but now it didn't work out with a few cars and they just don't allow us to see it on all the cars. Except with the glitch through walls/cars thing in Photo Mode we can still see it. :p Only on other cars though, not your own. If you're in the pitlane yourself you can't move the camera.

Np, was curious about this myself as well since this thing has such big panels/wheel covers. Just always forgot to check it. :p
 
Not saying the game shows it or this is how'd they do it in the real world, but the front wheel cover looks like it could be spinners, so just another quick step for getting it on/off.


and the rear cover looks like it could be held on by aircraft style camlocs, which can be made to be removed/installed real fast or better yet, a latch that locks in the direction of travel.

I'm thinking camlocs on the leading edge of the rear cover because you can see something that looks like that is what was intended. Also, I don't think latches are ever used in the real world on leading edges of a panel for aircrafts. Camlocs are safe to use to hold down panels....even on the leading edge...of planes going as fast as 400mph groundspeed. Maybe even higher, not sure.


These fasteners are also known as 1/4 turn fasteners because it takes about a 1/4 turn to lock/unlock
