Some questions

Guys, please help me.. I have no idea, what to do... I have a chance to buy Play Station 2 for 90$, so I think, is it worth it? I mean, maybe Playstation 3 will come out next day? I want to buy a console only for Gran Turismo..
So, here's my 2nd question: whats better? I mean, Gran Turismo 3 or 4? Or both of them are "must have"? Thanks for the answer...

If it was me I would buy it on the spot... GT3 is a must have and ya can pick that up cheap now. GT4 I haven't played but I know a lot of the guys here have the Japanese version of the game and they say it's really good...

Altho ya have to remember GT games are no pick up and go racer where ya have the best cars straight away... u have to earn em and that takes time...

PS3... no need to worry, won't see that for another year or 2

Buy a PS2 and GT4.

Oh, and move this thread to the Playstation2 or Gaming In General Forums.

I would suggest getting the PS2 for 90$, and get GT3 and GT4 when it becomes available. I have Xbox, and even I know the legendary status of the GT games. Gran Turismo 3 is currently the best driving sim available on the gaming market (next to GT4 which is only available in Europe and Asia I think). In order to familiarize yourself I would strongly suggest renting even, Gran Turismo 3. I'm sure GT4 will be quite a change from GT3, as almost every line of code has been re-written. So just imagine jumping into it with no expeirience? Also, it's good to familiarize yourself with GT3 so that you get a feel for which settings to use, which cars, etc. I would recommend getting all 3 (PS2, GT3, and GT4 when avlbl).

20 days from GT4, so you can bet that GT3 prices will be very low. I say get all 3.

Heck, get GT1 and GT2 while you're at it, you can have the whole collection. ;)

Since GT3 is a Greatest Hits title, you can usually pick it up between $15 and $20 USD. I'd buy it and the PS2 and in a month get GT4.

I've seen it used at game stores for like 4 bucks!!

I agree with mplacki, just get the whole series! It couldn't cost that much. 👍

Well, I already own GT1 and GT2, no need to buy it twice :)
So, according to your answers, I should buy that PS2 and GT3, we will have GT4 next year, I think, so I have time to complete GT3 :)
Thank's for all the answers :)

Next year? It was already released in Asia on December, NA is getting it this month, and Europe in march.

Well, I was waiting for NFS: U since November, 2003, and I couldnt find a copy at the shops for more than 5 months!
And, you're talking about a licenced copy of GT4, but I need to buy a non-legal copy (Because we talk about 90$ PS2 with modified chip (It let you play non-legal disks, which are cheaper 8 times)).
So, I dont think, that it will come out soon :yuck:
