Some tuning pointers?

An trying (if possible to use) a xj13 for dragging. It's got awesome power imo and think It could at least hold well with the classic muscle but I can't tune for the life of me and I've read the guides (inb4 read the guides) but anyone with this car can give. Me some pointers of what I could do?
 
Tune it like any other RWD but if you can run a 1st gear launch without hitting the rev-limiter, do it. Lower horsepower MRs like the quick acceleration of lower gear launches and will almost accelerate as fast as 4WD because of the weight over the drive tires. The Esprit is a good example of this, so is the 88 Countach & the F40 Ferrari.
 
Ballast is mainly for FF cars or cars with less weight over the drive tires. RWD with 50/50, 45/55, or more weight over the drive tires almost never need the ballast - the exception being crazy amounts of horsepower like the McLaren F1. It weighs nothing and has nearly 900hp, which seems like a good combination but, without SRF or TCS, it will spin on launch up to 5th gear. It's a great track car but can't get traction on the strip.

Anyway, the XJ13 is a nice car for the 700hp it has, and it runs pretty quick with a good tune. The 330 P4 Ferrari is faster and the Mark IV is slower, so its a good middle-ground and looks the nicest of the bunch.

Agreed I just got it. I like the 69 gt40 more tho cuz I like drag racing in te cockpit and looking the the side while racing makes it more fun for me
 
For only having ~570hp, the GT40 will surprise a lot of people. Apparently some idiots think it has similar HP to the other GTs, though, as I had a lot of Vipers & GT-Rs try lining up against me when I got it out. Wish it was a premium. :(

Agreed I have loved that car since forever. Maybe you could umm let me get a copy of that tune?
 
Classified tune. :) All I can say is that I think its a short-shift to 2nd and is set up like most muscle cars.
