Someone do this to their wheels. It's the next big thing. Seriously.

Okay so I was taking a look at one of the world's finest collection of antique cars last week when I stumbled upon this little detail on a really old car. The inside of this 1909 Stevens Duryea Model Y's black wheels' spokes were pinstriped with a little bit of red. Everyone and their dog is doing shiny lips on black wheels, and now even red lips on black wheels. Be a standout and pinstripe the inside of your wheel. I swear to you I'd love to see this on a road car. I was amongst over a hundred fully restored, functional and extremely expensive antique cars, and I was so damn excited about how awesome this little detail was.

So what do you say, who's with me in bringing back a super sweet little automotive detail from 100 years ago!?!?!

Here's the little information sign for the car, mentioning nothing of this badass touch.

If you're in Maine or New England and are into cars, go out there now as the collection will be mostly split up to support the family of the collection's owner's trust fund. Watch the auctions, there's some really specail stuff going up at the end of September from this collection.

I know you're not gonna like my response, but no... do we have to? xD

Edit: I'm all for this in certain applications though.

Next Honda-Tech trend too, after the stretched tire, low offset trend dies.

Technically wasn't the "stretched" trend started by VW's?

Yeah but the Californiuh Honda kids do it nowadays so it's "hella cool y0", you know. And the 240SX guys, too, come to think of it... So many so called drifters running around with 215 or 225 width tires on a 10 inch wide wheel.

Wow that 1909 9.6L 6cyl engine is making American amounts of bhp.

Seriously, I'm digging those wheels with that pinstripe.

Hmm.
I'm going to be painting my Track wheels over the winter. They will be black with polished spoke faces and lip... I sense a little pinstripe action coming my way.
