I'm back on a 56k con, and it looks like it gonna be this way for awhile.

This bites

And MistaX, before you can say it, BITE ME!

;):D

But you guys don't understand that it's one thing to have 56k, but to have broadband and then to go back .... Space if only there were someone with enough sympathy to put you out of your misery...

;)

atleast you're at 56K, I'm skeetin on 28.8K, and that's the best I get right now. And it's been that was forever.(and ever and ever and ever)

And I'm sorta pissed anyway right now, the girl that I like shares a SN, so I never no when it's her or someone else, and the other person got pissed at me cause I was trying to talk to the girl and she didn't say it was someone else till I had been trying to talk for 10 min or so. That really sucks.

and space, I'll shoot you as long as I get all that stuff you have, the Wega, the game consols, all of it.

ISDN isn't exactly great, in fact mine sucks.......

Depends on what you use, if your on BT Hometime, you wont be able to use 128k, if your on Anytime you can use 128k. At the mo I'm on Freeserve Home and stuck with 64k, it downloads songs in 5 mins, downloaded Dreamweaver in 45mins on 64k :) So when you look at people with 56k, LAUGH !

Man ive been rocking and rolling on cable for the past 2 years. I havent even turned my head to look back at a 56k... Wait a min? What is a 56k. I dont know that phrase anymore.

Ahh maybe i should just post these, not to laugh at you guys or anything :D :haha:

Sigh...if only I had broadband... According to my phone and cable companies, their Internet services will *always* be six months away.

You guys don't know real pain until you're running on 2400 modem. Yes, you read correctly.. twenty four HUNDRED. Not anymore, but that's the connection I had when I first got AOL. Believe me, anything is better than that!

I remember those days, probably about 9 to 10 years ago. We thought we had something back then.

Space, I'm sending you an e-mail bomb right now. That should take care of your problem. :)

'Course, you'll have to wait a while for it to download. :D

Heh, Tom, that exactly the point, much better to have never had broadband, and stay on 56k, then to go back to 56k.

Tatinee, i know what you mean, one of my old computers had a 14.4 modem in it, that never connected at anything higher than 5000 something or other.

Although there was some good news, some guys from the phone/cable company were out looking at te wires around our house, and they said that area might have broadband between now and the end of time.

Have you guys (and gals) tried looking into PC direct, or similar Satellite driven Broadband services? They are pretty fast downloading, widely available, but only support about a 56k upload speeds.
Just a thought...

Edit: PCdirect, not DirectPC...

Blame Pako, he's my tech guy. ;)

If anyones got £4,000 to spend and £500 - £1,000 a month, you can hook up to CAT5, downloaded Dreamweaver in 2 mins on the school servers which I'm suppose to maintaine...all this work for a student lol !
