Hello gt planet members

In the last 1-2 weeks or in the future 1-2 weeks we saw/'ll saw some racing games and i compaired them with GT 5 ( the best racing game ever )

Before we start i want to say something ,(example):
A game like F1 2010 ( codemasters) had 2 years development time and they just had to make ~20 F1 cars (+tracks..)
GT 5 have 5-6 years development time BUT GT 5 has more then 1000 cars

so after this informations we would think that the cars in F1 2010 HAVE to seem better then in GT 5 , right? yes

The GT 5 cars are 1:1 copied from the real life and they have all details
The F1 2010 cars aren't 1:1 copied from the real life and they have some mistakes and all F1 cars in F1 2010 have the same wheels... 👎
I think i don't need to say much , the pictures are enoguh to think about it and to come to an right result ( i could say much more about that but i don't want that codemasters will be angry ... )

I want to continue with WRC 2010 ( very funny cars ) if the admins have nothing against it

F12010 had CAD data from the teams so the cars are very accurate. The wheels were made similar so you can adjust things on the steering wheel like in real life. Otherwise you end up with something like GT5 shifting animation.

I reckon GT5 will deliver impressive-looking graphics, but this kind of comparison is pointless, different game engines, different purposes and different experiences.

Also, everytime we start comparing GT5 to F1, GT5 to Forza, GT5 to Jesus...we always end up in a bunch of pointless posts, excessive flaming and a big and shiny lock on the thread.

Is the only purpose of this thread to bash other games? It is a very odd sentiment, almost as if you need reassurance. I understand comparisons, but this is like meeting a beautiful woman, and then comparing her to every other woman in sight. How would the beautiful and enchanting GT5 feel?

Yep, a very odd debate to start when it really doesn't have much to do with GT5 at all apart from bash other racing games. F1 2010 is a fine game in its own right, not without its flaws, and neither is GT5 to be honest...

I am a big fan of both games but I do know that GT5 will be much better as the type of racing in GT5 is muchwider than F1 like track maker etc. but I was suprised at the graphics because I think the F1 graphics are slightly better.

Yes you are right guy it's not very clever if i would compaire a nice woman with all the other womans but this is a other category
all in all you are right but i did this comparison because i think it's not fair for the F1 fans to take 2 years development time and after that we see cars like this ...

ps:my own result now is NEVER compaire ANY game with GT 5 because GT 5 will win every time , its better to find the positive parts in each game... 👍
and ,i think it was a little mistake to start with F1 2010 because all in all its a "good" game but i should start with WRC haha crazy game

Wow GT5 is the best looking racing game by now, what a surprise
You can't expect a multiplattform game from a pretty poor publisher to compete with a 60 million dollar+ project from a company like Sony ...it would be shocking if GT5 wouldn't be that much better than other racing games

Tell me how you are comparing F1 to GT5, claiming GT5 IS the best racing game ever. Where have you played this final version of the game? Everyone, including myself, was looking at F1 2010 to be a great Formula 1 game, and all it's done is let people down with its bugs. How do you know GT5 won't do the same to us? Remember that Nurburgring disappearing act we saw in some videos? Let's say that doesn't get fixed. Or the AI NASCAR accident that made the car tweak out and get destroyed? Let's say that never gets fixed. I'm not doubting PD, but come on. Stop comparing a game that's been released, against a game that hasn't been released, and already claiming the latter is THE BEST.

Agreed. Yes it was a HUGE budget, but yes it took alot longer than most games take to develop. On top of that, it's skill and dedication. Time and money alone still don't produce something like GT5. The entire team has a love for cars and racing, so heart, dedication, and a sense of accomplishment with what you love is what makes a successful franchise.

It is perfectly fine to compare, however your stated parameters have already created a situation whereby we are working from a heavily skewed bias. This is why what you have written is not looking for honest answers, but fanboy style bashing.

Maybe you should, for the health and longevity of this thread, rephrase your opening statement in order to create some semblance of fairness, such as "let us compare close up shots of the car models for each." Otherwise, my friend, I'm afraid this thread will not continue for much longer, and that would be a pity, because it would have an interesting emphasis when the overarching bias is removed.

Oh, and Devedander is a member who would keep you busy for days defending your post.

Again, you are trying to compare a game you haven't played, with other games. GT5 will probably set the new standard for racing games, but you are already making it sound like EVERY aspect of it is better than every game ever made. There's things that other games do better than GT5 does (according to latest builds, could, and probably will be different in the final build). If that's what you are trying to get out of this thread, reword what you have said. Better yet, utilize the threads that are already on this topic.
