Well done Jordan and congrats!

Congratulation on the win, Jordan. Now you gotta get to work on that .gov, .tv (you're making a TV channel, right? ), .mil, etc! Then you can rule the...err...GTPlanet domain?

Don't forget, you'll soon be needing gtplanet.info, gtplanet.scum, gtplanet.donkey and gtplanet.dotdotdotbloodydotshreikbanana

and I was able to win it in a very exciting auction held by the name's registrar last week. Not surprisingly, it was a very popular auction with domain speculators who saw a great opportunity, but I was the high bidder when it mattered. :D
I would have thought someone else would have done it by now, but:

SHOP VICTORIOUSLY!!!

It's the only one that has a car theme, plus the pimping disco stance at the end is great.

Nice going, for all you firefox users, just type in "gtplanet" minus the quotes and it takes you to the front page

Things might start to pick up (even more?)

Great News!! 👍

Now GTPlanet's grip on the world is ever stronger!!!

Maybe someone could update the wiki page aswell so people know they can use .com aswell...

Robin

Good purchase!!

And remember, we can't forget .edu. We have some great teachers on here.

Muhaha… Cop that, Gifts and toys planet.
Who else was trying to bid for GTPlanet.com? And were they just bidding to make your life more difficult?

Anyway, Nicely done Jordan

Lots of domain speculators were interested in it. There are many people (and even companies) which do nothing but buy up any and every expiring domain name they can, "park" it on a page covered with advertisements, and then hope that it gets enough random traffic to earn them a little money in the end. The domain aftermarket is unfortunately a seedy, exorbitant side of the internet which often makes it impossible for legitimate webmasters to get a domain they want for a real website. I feel extremely lucky to have successfully acquired the name.

congrat's jordon i intend to get premium in the next month or so, been waiting to get it for ages. Gotta support the community lol:tup:

Oh man I remember when I was new to gtp and I kept forgetting the url and getting frustrated because this stupid toy website that had nothing on it kept appearing.

Well those days are over.........uh well a while ago but you know just in case I have amnesia and I need a GT resource page I guess I wont come a cropper now!

That's great becuase when I tell my friends about this site they always can't go right to it thay have to do a search because they switched .net to .com

Very cool! 👍

You aren't the only one who has done that! Before I made this announcement, I directed the domain to an interim page to see just how many people were actually going there. According to the statistics, around 50 people every day typed in the incorrect name. We've been losing more than 1500 visitors every month!

Yikes, that's crazy. :scared:

Nicely done, Jordan! I have to admit that this summer I couldn't get onto the site because of user-induced-address-error of a place he's visited for over 5 years.

Now all you need to do is register with a Guatemalan authority, so you can have gtplanet.gt!

Great Job Jordan!!👍. Now gtplanet will be visited alot more.

👍
