Since my last RX-7 I have made 6 pieces and none of them are completed... save for the comissions. Hopefully that will change with this one. Enjoy :)

Oh, those rights on the bottom right of the piece are to serve as a warning. I normally dont add those, but Im going to start. Why add them? Ive had recent art theft in the past week, all of which were modified and placed with another name as the creator. They were faced with a $500 fine. Dont break copywrites people.

Damn straight. Now everyone and their mum knows how to do them.

i dont belive they are classed as vectors, they are more like traced pictures. It doesnt take any skill to draw them...

It would be different if you traced a picture you drew by freehand, though i doubt anyone does that.

*sigh* Vectoring is tracing.

Cobraboy, dont blame me, I refused to post my tut, but Don still made and posted one.

Venom, compare most of my stuff to my ref pics, I dont make them look just like the image, I stylize.

Kinda wish I never posted them here now since everyone does it now.....

Naw, he is right. I remember when I first came here and posted my work everyone was doing that "trace a pic with a lasso tool and fill it in" thingy. It was really lame. Then I posted my stuff and it was great everytime. Then everyone else started doing it.....kinda makes you old news.
So now when someone like me posts some nice linework with style and pizazz it doesnt really get any recognition because everyone but 3 people can make some ugly piece. And thats what kills it. If it was just a few people who make great stuff off and on then it would still be fresh here.
This i exactly why I dont teach people.

Please tell me this is sarcasm.

Sarcasm? What does that mean? I'm sorry, it's just that I'm not familiar with the elitist lingo.

Will everyone stop being a mother****er and tell me what the **** an elitist is?
The Websters says "dominance by a select group." I dont know if thats what you mean....def sounds pretty true though....only a handful of people actually have any talent. Goes for any form of art.
So I guess Im an elitist then, not everyone can make good work.

i believe Vector is NOT tracing at all, the term is just rongly used here.

Vecor is a 3d output tool, its a type of graphics made with blocks of colours, they are often used on 3d characters, and other objects.

a program that uses this 'vector' thing is swift 3d, and i believe other things do to.

so dont tell me vectoring is tracing...

Now here comes the "Chasing Amy" discussion all over again. . . but this time with computer generated art instead of comics

You do not know what vector is at all. Vector goes far beyond that of simply tracing cars using vector (which 99.9% of you do).

Vector art uses mathematical calculations to determent the distance between anchors, and thus you can resize a true vector image (.svg, .wmf and a few others) without losing quality. It is not a 3D output tool. Vector is used largly in print due to it's clarity.

Also, vector art is not made completely out of solid blocks of colour. You can use gradients and such to create a greater effect of realism.

Finally, I wouldn't really consider Swift3D as a vector program. It uses vector techniques to achieve the 3D effect, but as for real vector applications, the real winners are Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand, CorelDRAW and Xara X.

Yeah...I have no clue what vectoring is. I guess I better rethink my profession.

Oh, FYI.....Adobe, the leader in vector programs even acknowledges that vectoring is about tracing. You dont have to trace, but thats its main purpose. Sorry you all are misinformed.

You're one of the only people who really complains about it... Maybe you should stop knocking yourself off over portman, learn to spell women (it's not womens idiot), and stop ****ing complaining all the time. Jesus!
