I Started a 24Hr endurance Race with B-Spec and for some reason the game seems to think Racing Hard tires are best for raining weather. I keep changing them to Rain Tires and they keep pitting Putting Back on Racing Hard Tires. The rest of the People Racing are Using Racing Medium while everyturn every car Is sliding across track smashing into walls looking like a Bunch of Bumper cars. Laps are taking 14+ Min. Is anyone else having this Issue.

Here is a little video of the fun

No. Actually if you chose rain tires at the begining, you have raining tires. When you do a pit stop, it will automatically give you the default tires for the car that you are using. In this case, racing hard. Unfortunatly, the game was not designed so you could keep your initial tire choice so you don´t have to choose them again in a hurry while pitting in.

EDIT: Proof of what I´m saying, is that when I did the Grand Valley 300, at the first pit stop, the first choice was for Comfort Soft, when I actually had Sport Mediums on my car.

That's odd. When I did the dream car B-Spec Monza race it was wet but didn't look too bad so I chose intermediates for him initially. End of the first lap Bob pitted in and put full wets on. The track dried out and later on he came in and put racing hards on. Didn't need my input at all.

It's a glitch. I've had this happen before and it's as if one part of the track was being reported as having much wetter pavement than other sections. Bob crosses the wet section and thinks he needs rain tires. The next section is dry so he thinks he needs Racing Hard tires. Unfortunately, all tire styles were equally bad (sliding around, long lap times) on all parts of the track. I tried fighting it for a few laps, but finally gave up and canceled the race. I had started the race with rain tires, by the way.

I also started the race with rain tires and for atleast a few hours was working perfectly . I went to sleep turned the TV back on later next morning and I see my Guy sliding across the track then I notice he has racing Hard tires on while it's raining. So I told him to pit and switch to rain tires. in the mean time I switched the video to other cars They all had on Racing Medium Tires and doing the same thing as you can see in the Video. Once in the Pit I changed to Wet tires. As soon as he got out the Pit the Pit light went back on and he wanted to pit and chage to dry weather Tires. So I let him pit he wanted Racing Hard back on I set it to Soft he left Pit and was happy, After first turn and whole track slamming into every wall. SO had to babysit him for a while.

I had that on an Endurance. Bob tends to go back to slicks a bit early and Racing Hards tend to then have a problem. Next time it was something similar I gave hime Racing Softs for the start as it wasn't raining and that seemed to solve the problem. If you have the option set the deault tyre to Racing Softs.

I had b-spec dream car championship on today, saw the exact same thing on the final race at the nurburgring. I used racing rain tires on my Minolta 88C-V while the rest of the field used racing hards the ENTIRE RACE.

Needless to say I lapped most of them bar the ford gt's

Same with monza

The AI tend to start on racing hards, what ever the weather, doing the 24hr Nurg they all drive unbelievably slow as I pull away, their stupid. Seeing rain n seeing the track is wet, just make sure you start the race in rain tires.

I had a race in B-Spec on the Circuit de la Sarthe (I believe, it was the 24h race).
When I had my morning coffee on that Sunday and wanted to check back with my drivers, I was welcomed with a great racing performance - quite enjoyable ;-)

It was raining heavily, while my drivers were in the lead with a Sauber Mercedes.
After some time, the weather cleared up a bit, but there was still a constant drizzle (it is a huuuuge issue, that GT5 doesn't simulate track status properly with virtually no feedback regarding water, weather forecast …).

The AI opponent drivers started to pit in and change to slicks, I suppose and thereafter I could watch them consistently loose their wits at places like Indianapolis or the the Porsche Curves.

I was thereafter busy, to change the automatic "pit in" to prevent my own drivers, to do the same miserable thing.

Every following lap, I switched to the opponent drivers and checked, how they where fairing with the track on their slicks, to decide, when the track has been dried up sufficiently.

I really love wet races, it would be fantastic, if PD could implement better feedback - you really have no idea about the weather or the track status at the moment.
