Can everyone start submitting their songs in word form please (preferably without videos)? Thanks.

Without putting videos? Is there a problem?

But... what if we want people to see a specific video? (I.e, the only video for my Weight of Love video was on vimeo, because it was taken down all over youtube.)

It makes it a lot easier to copy and paste the song names in my archive. If you're just posting videos, I have to copy the name from the video and that gets annoying after a while.

One of the handful of songs in the history of mankind where bagpipes aren't annoying. Nearly every other time, it's a parade or a funeral.

(Am I too late?)
Out of all the genres of music I know, country is the only genre I really don't like. I like the time and effort they put into their songs, just not the general sound of country music. I know they work hard on their music.

Same, that and any rock music harder than Metal I don't like personally
The reason people listen to country is because its relaxing, gives you a break from all that heavy metal screaming and high pitched pop. Now switch to the regional reason, I live in Texas (I make that well known) when you're doing work on the farm you want a beat that is catchy and a song where you can sing every word and enjoy it, makes the work go by so much faster!

Yes, but I can go listen to Jazz, multiple types of electronic music, Soul, R&B, etc.

It's only relaxing if it doesn't irritate you. I personally find....90% of what is currently pushed in our face as country as either not or mere noise that isn't notable enough to remember. I have started nitpicking the lyrics of some of these, and when you get 3 radio stations, maybe, and have a short fuse...yeeeeah.

That said, I do enjoy some country. Garth Brooks, Alabama, Reba, and a number of others old, new, and of questionable taste(Big & Rich, Ronnie Millsap). For me, good music, no matter what genre, makes everything better. Maybe not faster, but working in 100+ degree, high humidity, windless days are that liiiiittle bit more bearable.

But, but, you forgot George Strait. :odd:

Yeah, I generally like the older (10 yrs or older) country music. Some of the stuff doesn't fit my taste.

I find him overrated, possibly more than anyone else. No, no, that's Tim McGraw. A fair number of "King" George's song I like aren't the hits, quite possibly because I don't care for the ballade type song. Exceptions, as always, but if it sounds slow and doesn't get my attention, it gets skipped or changed. Not a country only thing though.

Far right is my reaction

The thread's not dead. Thread's never dead.

The radio's just finished a GTA song. I hope that's a sign of what's in store for today this coming week.
