Most songs don't make sense. But these are my favourite lyrics that make you go, "what??"

Stiltskin - Inside

Swing low
In a dark glass hour
You turn and cower
See it turn to dust
Move on a sone dark night
We take to fight
Snowfall turns to rust

Seam in a fusing mine
Like a nursing rhyme
Fat man start to fall
Long year in a hostile place
I hear your face start to call

And if you think
That I've been loosing my way
That's because I'm slightly blinded
And if you think
That I don't make too much sense
That's because
I'm broken minded

Don't keep it ...
Inside
If you believe it
Don't keep it all inside

Strong words
In a ganges sky
I have to lie
Shadows move in Paris
Ring out from a bruised postcard
In the shooting yard
Looking through the tears
Out of the black slate time
We move in line
But never reach an end

Fall in a long stray town
As the ice comes round
River starts to bend

And if you think
That I've been loosing my way
That's because I'm slightly blinded
And if you think
That I don't make too much sense
That's because
I'm broken minded

Don't keep it ...
Inside
If you believe it
Don't keep it all inside

What???

Not much sense on this either:

LOOKIN' OUT MY BACK DOOR (J.C. Fogerty)

Just got home from Illinois, lock the front door, oh boy!
Got to sit down, take a rest on the porch.
Imagination sets in, pretty soon I'm singin',

CHORUS:
Doo, doo, doo, Lookin' out my back door.

There's a giant doing cartwheels, a statue wearin' high heels.
Look at all the happy creatures dancing on the lawn.
A dinosaur Victrola list'ning to Buck Owens.

CHORUS

Tambourines and elephants are playing in the band.
Won't you take a ride on the flyin' spoon?
Doo, doo doo.
Wond'rous apparition provided by magician.

CHORUS

Tambourines and elephants are playing in the band.
Won't you take a ride on the flyin' spoon?
Doo, doo doo.
Bother me tomorrow, today, I'll buy no sorrows.

CHORUS

Forward troubles Illinois, lock the front door, oh boy!
Look at all the happy creatures dancing on the lawn.
Bother me tomorrow, today, I'll buy no sorrows.

CHORUS

And before someone asks: no drugs taken.

The Beatles - I Am The Walrus

John Lennon wanted to write this song to confuse everyone, I guess he did a good job.

I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.
See how they run like pigs from a gun, see how they fly.
I'm crying.

Sitting on a cornflake, waiting for the van to come.
Corporation tee-shirt, stupid bloody Tuesday.
Man, you been a naughty boy, you let your face grow long.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus,
goo goo g'joob

Mister City P'liceman sitting
Pretty little p'licemen in a row.
See how they fly like Lucy in the Sky, see how they run.
I'm crying. I'm cry------------ing,
I'm crying. I'm cry------------ing.

Yellow matter custard, dripping from a dead dog's eye.
Crabalocker fishwife, pornographic priestess,
Boy, you been a naughty girl you let your Knickers down.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus,
goo goo g'joob.

Sitting in an English garden waiting for the sun.
If the sun don't come, you get a tan
From standing in the English rain.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus,
goo goo g'joob g'goo goo g'joob.

Expert textpert choking smokers,
Don't you think the joker laughs at you? (ho ho ho, he, he he, ha, ha, ha)
See how they smile like pigs in a sty, see how they snied.
I'm crying.

Semolina pilchards, climbing up the Eiffel Tower.
Element'ry penguin singing Hare Krishna.
Man, you should have seen them Kicking Edgar Allan Poe.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus,
Goo goo g'joob g'goo goo g'joob. Goo goo g'goo g'goo goo g'joob goo. (rhythmical speaking along with juba's).
Juba juba juba, juba, juba, juba, juba, juba, juba juba. Juba juba.....

anything with words in it!

if i had to seriosly choose one, it would have to be another beetles song - 'lucy in the sky with diamonds' (aka LSD). that, like the song ledzep just quoted was no doubt probably the product of a durg-fueled haze!

In "I Am The Walrus" you can hear them repeating pretty clearly "everybody smoke pot" in the end.

White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane is a trippy song.

Octopus' Garden makes me want to know how much lsd the beatles did when they were writing it.

I’ve gotten pretty good at deciphering TMBG songs, but this one still has me stumped:

Exquisite Dead Guy

Most everything from Thom Yorke and Radiohead makes no sense. Read the lyrics...mind boggling. Hell of a good band, though; one of my favorites.

Mad Capsule Markets has some strange ones:

Pulse:

You comin' through. Get in the crowd.
You come in crew. It turns me on. (WTF?)
You comin' through. Get in the crowd. We start.

You can do anything, whatever you want.
So, no need to hesistate, futures right there.
Make your own rules.
Kick it now.

Correct or wack, check yourself.
Stake yourself before you upset.
Thats the way we do all the time.
Correct or wack, check yourself.
Open your mind, open mind.

Creature:

Is the preperation good?
You play the game now.
Never be defeated you my other self.
Diffuse power and concentrate on the mind.
This is a war.

Are you ready? Get up my creature!

Work harder. Lead the charge.

You are the charger.

W.O.R.L.D:

Freak out. This world is dropping.
Freak out. Its gonna' be jumpin'.
Freak out. The right color of this world is growin'.

Jump! Jump!

Freak out. System is cracking.
Freak out. Everybody go jumpin'
Freak out. The right power of this world is growin'.

CRACKED WORLD.

Well thats really random, music is good though kinda like a mix of metal and electro.

Having seen that particular song performed live by a pair of ventriloquist-dummy doll's heads with moving mouths, mounted on the ends of long poles and lit only by a follow spot floating over a darkened stage, did not help make the interpretation any more clear, either.

Only about half the lyrics on Beck's Odelay album make any sense at all. The rest are just 'word jazz'.
